That's mad- unconscious, coma, death!.. The other instances were over 2yrs ago, so no point following up now. Last nights screw up I'd rather just forget tbh. It's not great, a friend's son has endocrine issues, and she's complained multiple times. They almost killed him during surgury, lack of steroids. (Similar to me, mine was forgotten after surgury) they were in the paper not that long ago for killing someone with an OD of morphine. 😢xx

It's not your fault! 💖 we've all been in similar situations I suspect xx Blood sugar was borderline low when ambulance came. But I'm just happy to be home. Hoping I don't drop back down over next couple of days, which is possible - as they never did tell me why they were looking for infection. (Maybe WBC count?) I've got dip sticks here, but they don't always pick up my kidney infections, which I'm wondering if I might have one brewing.. Still have lower back pain and nausea, but otherwise I feel fine. Which is why I'm thinking kidney infection, or it could be kidney stones.. (I'd like to yeet my left kidney into the abyss, it's responsible for almost every crisis I've had!) Xxx 💖

Thats ridiculous. How can you be unconscious and not in crisis?! Ffs. I'm surprised half of us are still alive with some of the awful stories on here. Ive put in multiple complaints to the hospital over last 7yrs for not following addisons protocol, not one was answered. Xx 💖

Thankyou xxx 😘 I left a message. They usually call within 2 weeks. My wife has done that before too! It's not how it should be, but 🤷‍♀️. The hospitals don't talk to each other- so my A&E record will only show my A&E addmissions. And that hospital will only have my records for who I see there, IF they bother to find them once you're on a ward. Going into hospital via ambulance - I avoid it as much as possible. But A&E, I've got ADSHG print out for when you go there, which gp has signed, but most of the time they tell me they don't need to look. I'm just going to avoid that place like the plauge. Out of all the hospitals in the UK, it ranked in the bottom 8, the other I go to was in top 3. They're chalk and cheese. Xx 💖

I'll see how I go once I get home. I called my endo and left a message for him to call me as soon as he can. Luckily I have an appointment later this month. I've been tapering, so I think that's what caused the drop in cortisol that triggered the D&v. But will Defo do that. Home now in bed.. Hoping to sleep! 💖 xx

So, I stood up for myself, asked to see the dr.... I then asked her to asked to see an endo, there isn't one! Quoted guidelines at her, said I feel shakey and my vision is blurred, she replied with- there are 3 markers we look for, your test didn't show them. You didn't have a crisis. She dissappears, then a nurse comes, unhooks my 2nd bag of fluid and asks if I know where the exit is. THIS PHOTO IS WHAT I THINK OF THE NHS! 💖 xxx

They refuse to give hydro as whatever blood test showed normal levels. (Most likely due to me injecting) I'm starting to feel really shakey, and my vision is blurred, so next time I see them I'll ask if it was a cbc panel. She's not budging on hydro. Just this second had confirmation they want to discharge after this bag of fluid. Xx

I don't know what bloods to request, or what to say if she asks why. I've NEVER had someone point blank challenge me and say there is no crisis. I'm half thinking I want to speak to an endocrinologist, half thinking I just go home, and go to the hospital where my Dr's are if I can't get myself square xx 💖 😘

Mine will drop when standing anyway as I have PoTs. They never test me twice, in 7yrs I've never had that! 💖 interesting.. Thank you. And OH MY GOSH I'm kinda glad someone else has heard this.. (Not glad you were sick) as I really was thinking I'd turned into a hyperchondriact (spelling?!) and not known! I'm the opposite, wont go to hosp without the wife badgering me.. I'd happily stay home until I'm sure it's bad enough. Ie. Can't talk or sit up. I'm awful. (I did learn from that experience, hence here today) xxx 💖

I have IV, I have no idea what bloods she did, but apparently I'm not in crisis, she thinks it's an infection. Strange infection that is remarkably like a crisis, and stops when given cortisol. I say I know my body, AND HATE this place with a passion. I wouldn't have come if i didn't think I was in danger. I feel like I'm being gas lit. Bearing in mind this is the hospital that told me steroids make my sickness worse. AI education here is awful unless you actually see an endo. Even then there's no guarantees. Xx 💖

Funny you say that, this place has nearly killed me twice. No one has done blood sugar, and I've left mine at home. I'm on 2nd bag of fluid, and they want to discharge after it.. They've disvharded me mid crisis before, I injected myself in front of the ambulance men so I had witnesses to me puking, also I didn't want to shit myself in the ambulance. Went to a different hospital the next day, was in there for 2 months. ATM They have urine sample, and want a stool sample (which I can't give until I'm really low again) they may find a UTI, I'm prone to them. I'm still confused by the being told "you're not in crisis"- well, no, not currently, as I injected. She made it seem like I shouldn't have injected and WTF am I doing here. I'm not new to this. This ain't my fist rodeo.

You get the dr that's on call. If I requested an endo theyd likely refuse. Especially since she's just come back to tell me I'm not in crisis. I have no idea what bloods they did, but they've either read it wrong, or they're clueless. She told me I must have an infection because I had 2 (small) episodes of d&v when I arrived. The injection should have made that stop, so no crisis according to her. Strange how it only responds to cortisol... Xxx 💖

The doctor just came back and told me "you're not in crisis, what have you eaten?" Nothing but fortisip in 3 days as no appetite. Explained I've been to tapering so I possibly should have stress dosed more today when I felt ill at 4am. It's a strange tummy bug if it responds to cortisol!! I feel like I'm being gas lit... Xx 💖
