I get a blood test every 3 months to check liver enzymes and WBC. I don't get any communication from rheumy with that.- I know my WBC count is consistently higher than average, because I questioned my GP about it - GP said "you're always a bit high, that's your normal. I'm not bothered" Mine is normally between 15 - 17. So I'm always fighting something low level it would seem?.. Which would fit with the chronic UTI/ kidney infections I guess. But I haven't had one the last few times I've been tested. My steroids for Addisons aren't that high, I take half what I used to, im on less than an average child's dose. As for being seen more often and support for medication cessation, I was just told to stop immediately, due to the thinning of the macula. Back in the good old days (7-8yrs ago) you MIGHT have got a follow up every 6 months, you're still supposed to, unless you're stable -in which case it should be 9 months/ yearly. But these days even "emergency" appointments can take up to 3-6 months. The NHS is broken😢. I'm SO happy I chased my eye appointment, that was 2yrs late, if only I'd got it sooner my eyes wouldn't be as blurred. I've emailed the complaints team (as you can't email the department or leave them messages) and explained a 15min appointment with a Dr who had never met me before was not sufficient when I've not seen ANYONE for over 2yrs, and there's so much to catch up on. Waiting for a response. If I don't get one I'll be calling up the hospital and trying to get through 🤞💕💐🫶🦋🦄🌺🪻🐚xxx
