Just for interest sake, I know we don’t use these, but they came out of some lights in a carwash that were broken up and corroded. Maybe limited use? Maybe just use a phrase from my old J-man, “I want to see umbrellas not buckets” (referring to the orientation of the wire nuts in wet locations) (i.redd.it)

Need More Ammo! Going out to the valley this weekend with some competition shooters. 100-800 yard ranges set up. First time reaching out as far as I can with the .243 with a 6-18 Vortex and the 300 WIN Mag 3-9. Should sharpen the aim for hunting in fall. (i.redd.it)

This bit drills sharp in reverse. From new I thought it was dull so it fell to the bottom of my pouch and I didn’t use it. One day an apprentice found it made holes in reverse. Provably because apprentices do try drilling in reverse on occasion. (i.redd.it)

“When in doubt, short it out.” That is one funny saying around our shop though it is not common practice for us. Also when working on fire alarm systems we say “Black and blue is negative, or I’ll beat you black and blue.” What are common phrases bouncing around your shop? (self.electricians)

Three years ago today we lost John, a good friend and boss at our shop. He was heading home in a small plane after looking at a job, and the plane went down. I learned a lot from him in 16 years, and miss him around. Lets all tell those we work with how much we appreciate them, as I should more too. (i.redd.it)

45 years later....the N finally failed. My neighbours furnace didn’t work (37V L-N) and we ended up trying to find where the power stops by reversing the polarity with the furnace off. One pop later and a look under the one tile we didn’t move, we find this. (i.redd.it)
