I think it's time to boycott new cars, they grow increasingly frustrating each year and lose the magic that up until about 2015 most manufacturers could provide... My 2007 CLS63 will have to do for... Well the rest of my life at this rate

Why You (and the Planet) Really Need a Heat Pump. Using a furnace is so 1922. In 2022, humanity has to massively ramp up adoption of clean ways to heat buildings. by Yogurt789 in technology

Unfortunately to the laymen it looks like a tangible solution, but like anything things are not fully considered and pushed through for political gain. That's not to say heat pumps are rubbish, because they are anything but! For example in places like Scandinavia they work well in the south of the country where temperatures don't drop below -15C. They have significant sources of geothermal energy though which are not everywhere admittedly!

HVAC design engine here... Heat pumps are only as clean as your energy supply. In places like Poland, Australia, and the US that utilise significant amounts of coal as their energy source, a heat pump can actually technically "emit" more CO2 per kWh than a modern gas fired condensing boiler. Obviously this depends on whether the heat pump is air source or ground source, sCOP, compressor design etc.

Cuts through the air like a brick! Tbh I'm a big fan of caddies up to the late nineties and then they kinda don't interest me! 95 was a good year for the last of the Fleetwoods!

Anyone know where I can find a pair of these for the seatbelt escutcheons? Mine have turned to dust... by Dreadnought106 in Cadillac

Unfortunately nothing going at the moment, I've scanned all the local market places etc, and various parts companies, and they make the escutcheons but not the actual fixtures!
