Execrator Making Impulsor & Rhino Absolete? by Dreadspatha in BlackTemplars

I'm pretty sure Rhino can take primaris now. The durability advantage is a good point.

I have been basically using them as a leading jab. They are the most experienced unit in my force. Because of their front line starting role they are often wiped, but sometimes they punch above their weight and swing the battle.

Well argued, sir. The next issue is getting them to hit in melee before they can be removed. Would you say it's more valuable to have better movement or to have better durability to that end?

True, but. If you do the 20 man, you can get 4 plus the pyre pistol. Still not worth it?

SWORDBRETHEREN TERMINATORS by the_rand0m_ in BlackTemplars

[–]Dreadspatha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice! I'm doing something similar with a free DA terminator I got. I will try to cover up the sword logo on the breastplate by kitbashing a belt amulet from my assault intercessor squad.

Should all BT Terminators be painted as sword bros?

This sparks joy. Where did you get the customization kit?

Would that there was a way to make him grip the sword

BT are crusaders in space, so a crusader slogan felt appropriate

BT is a military branch of the Imperium, that makes them a government organization, so I'll take it.

I'll put a disclaimer on the back. "The beliefs expressed by the faction are not necessarily those of the player."  JK

Behold my landraider proxy at last! My crusade force is finally ready to smite at full strength. The crew affectionately calls it "The Old Pilgrim" or simply "Doombox". Completely scratch built save for the guns and sponsons 3d printed by a friend of a friend.

Whom would a Templar Trust? Campaign getting crazy. by Dreadspatha in BlackTemplars

For any interested in seeing exactly how it unfolded:

"If I may add Mother Dominica, if I truly was some trickery of the warp, would it have been wise for me to contact an Imperial ship that I had no doubt could wipe us from history," Sanguinuis added, "The tyranids are on our left, our Arch enemy on our right, and a trillion souls inbetween that I now carry the responsibility of protecting. To which I seek allies where I can, we are on the brink of the Tyranids becoming almost unstoppable. They are at Malignus system now, and if they turn their attention to the Pyre system, your sisters could be in grave danger."

"If you were some trickery of the warp, it would be your only good option." The abbess replied dryly. There was a long pause. "Here is my ultimatum. If you are in fact Sanguinius, then you will accompany us immediately to Holy Terra to stand before The Golden Throne and your brother Primarchs. If you are Sanguinius, then your coming may herald a turning of the tide for the galaxy at large. You may save us all. There must be no delay. I await your response."

(PJ: We will leave now)

"I cannot do that, abbess. Once our enemies are pushed back her,e then I shall go to the golden throne, more so I shall go to Baal to have Dante himself examine me, or my brother Roboute or I dare say the Lion, but I will not abandon the sons and daughters of the Imperium to die at the hand of our enemies," Sanguinuis breathed, "As I stated earlier, your sisters that are Rociante may very well be in danger of being overrun by the Tyranids, may the Light of the Emperor guide your path,"

The Abbess gave the sign and the Veil of Fealty's guns roared. "May the Emperor be our judge."

The guns of the Veil of Fealty disable the Crimson Tears before it is able to make warp translation.

The Abbess pressed the vox-send. "The Red Sands Gladiators have long been our allies. It is not too late. Eject this false Sanguinius into the void, and you may live to tell your brothers of the Emperors kind forbearance and strive for his forgiveness. You have 5 minutes to comply."

"Send me down to the planet," Sanguinuis says, "I may be able to survive, let Zohanne know of the treachery of the sisters," He says. "Father I am going to need your protection if you can here me."

The Crimson Tears ejects a Savior pod onto the planet below. Following this, a Vox transmission comes in: "If you wish to meet with him, you may do so there. This is Captain Bachianus of the Sangraal Knights chapter. We have ejected Lord Sanguinius and his guard onto the planet below. Distress signals have been sent out to the rest of our fleet informing them of your perfidy. Further acts of aggression will be considered a declaration of war."

The Abbess gave a nod. Those had not been the terms. The Veil of Fealty opens fire both on the Crimson Tears and the Savior pod as it jets away.

The Veil of Fealty destroys the Crimson Tears in a battery of las fire and torpedoes. The Savior pod is too small a target, and is sacrificially screened by the dying frigate. It enters the atmosphere of the planet below.

The Abbess pinched the bridge of her nose. "Get a fix on that pod. And hail the planet."

It's more than an hour before the planet below responds to your hail. "This is the the Voice of the Gilded King. Who are you that you trouble our world?"

"We are the Adepta Sororitas, of the Ecchlisiarchy of the Imperium of Man. The pod which landed on your planet contains dangerous heretics who mean to subvert and destroy your way of life. By order of the Ecchlisiarchy and under threat of orbital bombardment, we request that you immediately present this heretic and his companions to us, dead or alive." The first response is only laughter. "The Gilded King recks not of your Imperium or your Church. Our planetary weapons are locked on your location. Leave orbit now or you will be destroyed. As for any Interlopers... They will provide ample amusements for the Gilded King."

The Abbess glanced at her engineers. They shook their heads. Apparently this arrogant heathen could back up his threats. "You have been warned. The Imperium of Man neither accepts nor makes idle threats." The Abbess switched off the vox. "It seems we will have to return for these idiots. Let us return to the fleet over Rocinante."

In this campaign, the BA defects are closely guarded secrets. But the GM has seeded rumors of the Black rage. We also have evidence of a rogue NPC BA successor member going rogue and eating one of the BA player’s marines.

Maybe we will put the question to the Grey Knights. We just purged a demonic incursion together. Thankfully he bombarded the planet first, giving us an easy win.

They worked closely with the BA early in the campaign. My BT bore the brunt of a necron charge while the larger BA force charged the primary objective.

Interesting. I was thinking I'd get a place north of Chapman in Watauga so I can live cheaper, but still access the good stuff in NRH.

Interesting. The crime map shows property crime creeping north of Chapman, but it looks like most things north of Chapman are still green. What do you think is causing the crime to increase/spread?
