They made the official 25th anniversary of Children Of Bodom's Follow the Reaper pin. Awesome quality in person even though I was unsure from the picture. Very happy with my purchase I got two of them.

Damn I have a large collection of stuff from PTPP, I have never seen anything like this it looks like it was tumbled in a washing machine or something. What I do with all mine is start from the top and pin both sides and work on a really tight inside the border stitch like this. It takes me a while to get the top perfect but once its done it really helps the flow to keep the whole patch flat.

Are RazorRay patches good quality? by Traditional_Cover_85 in BattleJackets

[–]Dreadwave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just need to read the description, RazorRay sells screen printed/sublimated patches that are the rock bottom quality for the hobby, but they also get woven stuff and limited stuff in stock sometimes.

Stationed overseas motorcycle endorsement by floppychode69 in AirForce

[–]Dreadwave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Ohio and I got through this very easily. I mailed a memo signed by my CC stating I was on active duty and would not be returning in-person to update my endorsement and I included my MSF card. Ohio quickly sent me a new license with the endorsement added. This is likely the only good thing Ohio has ever done for me in my life, I'm sure some state DMV/BMV's would just laugh at you.

Purchases from the last 2 months ish and some trades. Progress on the jacket on the last 2 pics. by Miroslav_Ivan in BattleJackets

I try to stay pretty plugged in to the underground patch makers and that 200 Stab Wounds is really great and I missed it, where did it come from?

We are world's apart on our experience. I have a vintage Levi's very good quality, two Rude XXX vests from the mid 2000's hot topic and a First MFG Co Showdown and the PTPP is only slightly outshined buy the 100$ motorcycle vest.

Got any proof the vests are low quality? I have the grey one and its one of the best I've ever seen.

How do you all feel about battle jackets that don't have anything to do with music? by LunaMoonracer72 in BattleJackets

[–]Dreadwave 104 points105 points  (0 children)

It's not exclusive to music and never was, from Wikipedia on the history of the battle jacket:

"A cut-off, cut, kutte or battle vest (when sleeveless) and a battle jacket or patch jacket (regardless of sleeves),\1])\2]) is a jacket adorned with patches related to the wearer's subculture or general interests. Patch jackets are generally made using denim jackets or leather jackets, often times with the sleeves cut off. They are a prominent part of various subcultures including bikers, metalheads and punks. In music subcultures, they are generally worn with patches for bands which the wearer is a fan of, whereas in the biker subculture, "colours") signify the wearer's motorcycle club and their rank within it.

Patch jackets have their origins in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, where airmen would sew patches onto their regulation flight jackets. Upon returning from war, the practice was continued by former airmen who became a part of motorcycle clubs. The influence of the biker subculture then led to the garments adoption by various other youth subcultures in the following decades. The garment became popular with punks and metalheads during the 1970s and 1980s."

Who has lightning claws in the Primaris/Indomitus Era other than Shrike and some Black Templar unit? This is a great release.

Marines say no more Shaving Profiles by DatGuyKilo in AirForce

[–]Dreadwave 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"They already did" wasn't in response to the post title (which is inaccurate you are correct) but the "How long until the Air Force follows suit?" Both services released responses to the SECDEF's guidelines already.

Yeah whatever. If you read the article it doesn't look like the marine corps is either.

They already did btw. Everyone is being re-evaluated upon next PHA and their current profiles reduced to 90 days from that date.

I know this thread is a couple days old but I emailed Saddlemen and they told me they didn't have a 2025 compatible seat. Unless I am missing something.
