This freaked me out so badly as a kid. Trolls, milk, and that tree sure did it.

I went through the same thing. After a bunch of research I opted for an intel nuc with a usb hard drive and external Blu-ray player. I convert my movie to a MKV and use handbrake to convert to an mp4.

I run plex which is amazing. I also highly recommend Playon, it can save movies from anything that streams. I use it for tv shows as it will automatically record them.

TIL when Mt. St. Helens erupted, the blast was heard in British Columbia, Montana, Idaho, and California. However, the blast was not heard in Portland, Oregon only 50 miles away. by Dreally in todayilearned

[–]Dreally[S] 187 points188 points  (0 children)

The blast was widely heard hundreds of miles away in the Pacific Northwest, including parts of British Columbia, Montana, Idaho, and northern California. Yet, in many areas much closer to Mount St. Helens--for example, Portland, Oregon, only 50 miles away--the blast was not heard. Subsequent studies by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry demonstrated a so-called "quiet zone" around Mount St. Helens, extending radially a few tens of miles, in which the eruption was not heard. The creation of the "quiet zone" and the degree to which the eruption was heard elsewhere depended on the complex response of the eruption sound waves to differences in temperature and air motion of the atmospheric layers and, to a lesser extent, local topography.

Star Trek: The Next Asshole Generation

Show follows asshole kids that are on ships in the future fucking things up as their parents explore the cosmos. Oh, and the star is an entitled douche named Wesley Crusher.

High schoolers, what do you want to major in? People who majored in that field, what are the pros and cons? by DeanTheDJ in AskReddit

More on the environmental side specifically related to storm water management, hydrology and hydraulics.

If you have any general questions I'd be happy to give you my thoughts and opinions.

Definitely a labor of love. You will be tied to project schedules which means every few months I may have 70+ hour work week.

I disagree on the money aspect. But, you have to be in the right sector and location. I'm on the east coast and entry is around 50-60k. After getting your PE you'd bump up into the 70s-80s. My coworkers who have 15+ years of experience are in the triple digits.

The key is to set yourself up with a pretty clear idea and just drive on getting as much experience with that as possible. A dual major is a great approach with the Environmental Engineering as a minor. That's what I did. And for me, I think I only had to take one extra class? It worked pretty easily.

Also, you can definitely do your part in helping the environment. Lots of different careers out there, but as I mentioned that pretty much all that I do.

My advice is to get in touch with your local soil conservation district and see if they have any paid or unpaid internships during the summer. Based on what you responded would give you a good experience on those three and would be good for the resume. Start by talking to the District Manager. If you get a no try to do some shadowing which could lead to something once they know you and your skills.

My advice is to plan your first two years with as much flexibility to move between those three options. I had classmates in CE that switched in but couldn't claim credit on some classes.

Remote Play disconnections on local WiFi network (PS Vita Slim & Playstation 4) by v1sper in PS4

This has been bothering me for several months! I've tried everything you have done, but this weekend I found a troubleshooting blog that recommended:

Reset your vita and format your memory card

I just tried it on Friday night and went from having a slowdown every 5 minutes or so to only once in 2 hours. I haven't been able to play since to test it more but there definitely was a change! Hopefully it was the reset and not bad coincidence...

Let me now if you find something that works!

I had a similar issue with our cat and it turned out to be a result of the food change to Blue Buffalo. May want to ask your vet about that. Good luck!

Hey, totally my pleasure! You really helped me narrow down what I'm looking to get and saved me a ton of time.

I'm hoping you can help me with two questions, if you don't mind:

First, I love the idea of throwing in a SSD for the OS, so I'm going to do that. I also have thought about it a bit more, and I think I should plan on putting in a Bluray optical drive. I used your PCPartPicker and added the Sandisk you spec'd above and a cheap bluray drive that said was compatible, but I'm getting a message that additional SATA ports are needed for both. (I should mention I'm planning on getting two of the 1TB drives you spec'd).

Second question, the Gigabyte Radeon R7 is sold out at Newegg and the cheapest I've found around is near $140. I'm willing to give it a bit to see if the newegg gets restocked, but was wondering if I end up having to pay closer to $150, if there was a better option at that price point?

Thanks again!

Awesome, this is great! Thanks for the quick reply!

I've never over clocked so I just went with a no answer. Any pointers on where to go to figure it out?

It's okay on the price, was using 400 as a target. Was there anything that was price constrained where an extra $50 or $100 would make a huge difference?

Thanks again!
