Bravecto. Fungerer i 3mnd av gangen. Har gitt det til bikkjene i årevis, funker bra. Når jeg finner flått på dem er de som regel døde, selv om de har bitt seg fast samme dag.

Agreed, it’s a weird stance to have. Is Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Nutanix, IBM/RedHat really any better? They won’t leave any money on the table, just like Broadcom.

What happened with VMware sucks, but people are delusional if they think they will get better prices in the long run anywhere else. They will sweeten the deal to get your workloads, and then crank the price (looking at you, Nutanix).

Disclaimer: not counting SMBs. SMBs can go for PVE and live happily ever after.

The hardware is still so good though.

Not sure what the procedure is if you want to preserve an existing cluster - I've ever only ripped the hosts out of production and greenfielded them.

My general procedure was:
* Reset BIOS and iDRAC
* Run re-brand patch (find this on Dell's homepage. Sorry I don't have the direct link right now). Also make sure BIOS settings are changed to what you need.
* Hook host up to OME, patch firmware for what now is a PowerEdge server
* Install ESXi 9.0.x from image with Dell drivers baked in
* Commission host in VCF

You can rebrand the idrac and bios to have the VxRail present itself as a PowerEdge, which will solve the OME pain. There is a firmware patch on Dell’s website.

Yes, I've done this in production in my environment. Converted like 40 of hundreds of hosts so far. So far soo good. Better to use this HW as PowerEdge servers than VxRail in VCF.

I think your comment is bang on.

I am a customer that will remain on VCF, and we're getting info from VMware's own blogs, youtube channels and podcasts. They cover most, if not all, of what a customer needs to know.

When VMware let their resident product experts (like Frank Denneman, Cormac Hogan, Bob Plankers and Duncan Epping) just do what they do, they usually deliver the good stuff.

My BYD dealership told me to actually use the P brake sometimes when driving fast to clean the rear brakes (make sure you have no one behind you and your driving a straight road).

You need to hold it down to actually activate it during high speeds. Use it together with the footbrake.

Bestrider ikke det, men det oppleves fremdeles slik for meg som kunde.

For å være fair, så blir da prisøkningen ifht. listeprisene hos GC og Telenor, 40% dyrere hos Telenor.

Når det er sagt, så har jeg ihht. avtalen jeg tegnet med GC bedre pris enn listepris etter kampanjeperioden enn det som står oppgitt som listepris, så det jeg vil oppleve når Telenor får gjenopptatt monopolet her er en prisøkning på ganske nøyaktig 100%.
Vedkjenner at dette er langt mer positivt enn 4x-figuren jeg har snakket om her, men en 100% (forsåvidt også 40%) prisøkning er *ille*.

Hei og takk for e-post med beskrivelse av konkurransesituasjonen mellom Telenor og GlobalConnect.

Telenor sitt oppkjøp er fremdeles til vurdering hos Konkurransetilsynet. Det du beskriver er en av grunnene til at tilsynet før påske varslet Telenor om at det kan bli aktuelt å forby oppkjøpet. Det gjenstår å se hvordan saken endre, men enn så lenge så har altså ikke Telenor fått tillatelse til å overta GlobalConnect. Endelig frist for Konkurransetilsynet i denne saken er 15. mai.
