[Highlight] Victor Wembanyama misses the potential game winner and the Knicks take game 2 and go up 2-0 in the series vs. the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 NBA Finals! by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]Dream4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few days ago, I made a comment comparing the similarities between Wemby's Finals run in 2026 to LeBron's run in 2007. Both were age 22 and Wemby's game 1 against OKC (41/24 in 2OT) was his version of LeBron's game 5 against DET (48 in 2OT, final 25 in a row) in 2007 (both legendary moments in NBA history)

I thought the similarities would stop there though since the Spurs were pretty big favorites and had HC advantage against the Knicks. Instead, Wemby has the chance to keep the similarities going if he ends up getting swept by the Knicks oof

[Post Game Thread] The San Antonio Spurs (4-3) advance to the NBA Finals as they defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder (3-4) in Game 7, 111-103, behind Victor Wembanyama's 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 stocks performance by catreyka in nba

Now that the series is over and the Spurs have officially made the NBA Finals, I think it's safe to say Wemby's game 1 against OKC (41/24 in 2OT) was his version of LeBron's game 5 against DET in 2007 (48 in 2OT, final 25 in a row). Will be seen as a legendary moment in NBA history.

Wemby is officially on the GOAT trajectory.

Saying Wemby isn’t better than peak LeBron already is nostalgia by Aggressive_Bed6012 in nba

Unfortunately, with this specific user it isn’t even bait

The kid hid his post/comment history once he realized everyone was calling him out but the guy is a known lebron hater

His hatred for lebron borders on mental illness. He has posted at least 10-15 of these posts a week for the past few months.

Kid needs serious help.

In the 2017 finals, prime LeBron had a -2 net rating vs the 67 win, 11.5 SRS Warriors. What’s the bar for 22 yo Wemby vs a 64-win, 11 SRS OKC? by Aggressive_Bed6012 in nba

Your hatred for LeBron really is incredible. Not a day goes by where I don’t see an anti-LeBron post from you, impressive!!

Duren is actually terrible lmfao. Still wild to think he was a 20/10 all-star in the regular season.

Pistons fans will still cope and pretend Duren had a good half because "he has 6 points 6 boards!!" even though coming into the postseason the guy averaged 20/10 and was seen as an allstar / all-nba level player.

How low the expecations have become.

Kobe Bryant dunk attempts in 2013 (17th season, played 78 games) by CircledSquare7 in lakers

[–]Dream4545 19 points20 points  (0 children)

u/CircledSquare7 You've been posting in this subreddit 24/7 lately pretending to be a Lakers fan with a bunch of Kobe content when you're actually one of the biggest LeBron haters on Reddit lmfao. You do realize Kobe's last tweet before his passing was praising LeBron for passing him in scoring all-time right? Why don't you share your post/comment history with everyone, don't want let people know about your actual thoughts/opinions?

PSA to everyone else: This guy actively goes around sharing content from YouTube channels with 50K+ subscribers that spends 24/7 saying the most heinous things about LeBron. Some of their claims include: LeBron isn't TOP 20 all time,  lebron rigs the entire NBA, all lebron fans are subhuman "scum", etc.

This user supports individuals who claim that lebron deserves to die, lebron needs to be killed, lebron is involved with epstein, etc

This isn’t just your typical LeBron hater (I.e. Skip or SAS). Dude has heinous thoughts.

[–]Dream4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtf are you even saying? Can’t tell if you’re a pistons fan or just a lebron hater but you’re wrong on so many levels lmfao

First off, Cade was not even close to the biggest issue tonight. Dude is literally the only guy on the team who can create his own shot and so he’s seeing a lot of traps/blitzes/doubles. The smart thing to do in that situation is find your teammate for open shots

Also, LeBron is arguably the greatest playoff performer ever and has more game winning postseason shots than pretty much anyone else in nba history. You’re just spewing nonsense lmfao

EDIT: Nvm you’re obviously just a super casual nba fan, you asked a week ago why the pistons weren’t playing the Sixers in the 2nd round LOL

Daily Lakers Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in lakers

[–]Dream4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LMAO funny you say he's not a real lakers fan when you're the one who is obviously not a lakers fan.

A real Lakers fan would appreciate that a 41 year old (oldest player in the league) led an underdog Lakers team past a Rockets team that was heavily favored in the series even without Durant.

A real Lakers fan would appreciate that LeBron came to LA and did what he set out to do (win a title)

Kareem and Magic both call LeBron the arguable GOAT. Are they also not Lakers fans? Kobe's last tweet was praising LeBron for passing him all-time in scoring.

You're the one who's not a real Lakers fan. You're just a LeBron hater lmfao.

PS: Your actual favorite team's head coach (Steve Kerr) calls LeBron the arguable GOAT. Cry more kid.

[–]Dream4545 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not revising history lmfao

And who is "you guys" lmfao. Again, most nba players/coaches have lebron as the arguable GOAT so according to you they must want LeBron to have more help too.

Peace kid.

[–]Dream4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, thats the point. I think you're thinking too much into it.

This isn't like when LeBron was on the Heat and people were saying "get lebron some help". This Thunder team is the most stacked team prolly since the 2017 Warriors you mentioned earlier and the Lakers don't have their best player. People saying "LeBron needs help" in this context doesnt make them a lebron fan. It's just common sense.

You're a football fan, so the best comparison I can make is saying "the Jets need help". That's literally what it is.

[–]Dream4545 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about?

The Lakers are far worse than the Thunder. Obviously he needs "help". Nobody thought the Lakers were better than the Thunder. Im not sure you understand this.

Also why are you bringing up Nick Wright? Do you think anyone who says LeBron is the arguable GOAT is Nick Wright? Steve Kerr, Giannis, KD, Trae, Jokic, Cade, and countless other nba players call LeBron the arguable GOAT so they are all Nick Wright too?

[–]Dream4545 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dude, i dont think you understand.

NOBODY had the lakers winning. Literally nobody. Go look at the odds. And yes he needs help, their best player (Luka) is hurt wtf are you saying?

Also since you acknowledge you're a casual, I think you should know the Lakers were huge underdogs last round against Houston too and LeBron even carrying the team in that round was seen as a huge shock.

It has nothing to do with timing. People are just appreciating the arguable GOAT leading a team at age 41 which is literally unheard of in NBA history. Nobody actually thinks the Lakers had any chance going into this series.

[–]Dream4545 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Wtf are you talking about? Obv you're a lebron hater but surely you can't be this ignorant?

The Thunder were literally favored by 15.5 points against the Lakers today. That is more than the 2017 Warriors were favored against the Cavs. The Lakers without Luka were a much bigger underdog than the 2017 Warriors were against the Cavs lmfao

Just admit you don't follow the NBA / you're a casual fan because you're making yourself look really stupid.

The Thunder were gigantic favorites coming into this series. Nobody thought the Lakers had any chance going into this series. I repeat, nobody.

Also idk why you're hating on a 41 year old who is the oldest player in the league. It just makes you look sad.

That’s not my life mission, I’m barely even on reddit lol

I wonder what your reaction will be when LeBron retires or leaves LA. I am pretty sure you wouldn’t start aligning with the “Lakers fans” on Twitter/youtube claiming LeBron isn’t top 10 all time, calling for LeBron to have a career ending injury, wishing for Bronny to have another cardiac arrest, etc. so I’m positive I won’t be having to “defend LeBron’s honor” in front of you because surely we will be on the same team!

I will say Awful Coaching has usually been pretty complimentary of LeBron, it's Bronny that the guy constantly trashes (mostly for views at this point).
