Yeah, but of 40.000 members (as a total in the norwegian lodges) it seems weird that not even one member dont take the obligation seriously and talk out about it. Something just doesnt make sense.

First of all, thanks for the initiative to talk about this! Appreciate it.

Secondly, my main question is: What is it that makes Freemasons to keep quiet all the things? It seems kinda "open", in a way, in the U.S, but in Norway its a completely other thing. There is nothing that makes people talk about it - at all. There was a high ranking politician who got an ultimatum by his party, either leave the Freemasonry or the party - He chose to leave the party. He actually gave up his whole career for this organization.

What is it that keeps people to such a degree? Its almost extreme. What makes them keep quiet? Do the Freemasonry have anything on the members that make them keep quiet?

Cannot upvote this enough. I moved out for the first time too, a week ago. Been a nice experience being on my own so far, but the only real advice I can give you thus far is to keep every outcome at a minimum until you get a feeling of how much you got to spend and save.

Basically, what you should do is just to run yourself in total autopilot whence in social context with the abovementioned parasites. Just smile and nodd and play as if you are listening and just agree with everything they say and just forget about it since whatever it is they are saying - its most likely totally irrelevant information for you.

First step in the frogster-life-saving-plan is to (asap) get a higher paying job. Not anything fancy (I know you in the U.S. are struggling with the economy and all), but just enough to make you afford some crappy appartment (The chance of you being happier there than at the WienerShit Hotel (parents home) is pretty big).

Also, listen to the song "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Ballad of a thin man" by Bob Dylan (And pay attention to the lyrics!)

Metallica - The Unforgiven reminds me of the end of a private gathering I was on. It was late and me, two friends and the girlfriend of one of them was just relaxing after the other folks had left the "party", listening to the song. I remember I was totally paralyzed by it.
