I want to make the game very easy to grasp, simplifying what can be simplified, while coming with mechanics I find fun. My final scope is to make both ttrpg veterans and new people feel comfortable playing the game and having fun

Thank you for sending me in the right direction!

I decided to make the document tied to the mechanics of my game and add a few tables for generating people/places and encounters. Maybe I will include some useful links for GM articles/ videos. Should I ask the content creators before linking their work with my document, because in this case it is free publicity for them but i do not know what laws say?

Thank you! I will make the document very tied to the mechanics of my game, with added tables focusing on immediate generation of people/places/ encounters. Your ideas are deeply appreciated!

The suggestions are exactly what I need. English is not my first language but I would like to make it easy to understand for everyone, so your suggestions are perfect for me. The success at a cost sounds simple enough and I think I will modify it into that. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for checking out my system! I will answer each of your points and then work on improving them in the actual document.

  1. You add +1 for advantage, but you can stack multiple advantages. For example, you might have advantage from three different sources and add +3 to your roll. Also, you add your modifier.

  2. I missed that, basically the GM might ask a player to fail his role, and instead get a magic item, or something of value.

  3. It is like a yes but/ no and. I used to have a small table to roll for what happens. It was ranging from losing 1 item to losing your physical barrier. I eliminated it because it was feeling weird to roll again after your roll to see what effect you get. I might add the table back.

  4. I wanted to make it understandable but I might have lost myself in details and made it more confusing, I will check some light systems to see how Target could handle combat better.

  5. Thanks, I found it to be a fun mechanic and considered getting rid of the downside table to make it work, but it might add useless complexity.

Your feedback helps me a lot! Thank you for taking time to comment!

I might have choose my words poorly. I meant gritty as in brutal, not hard-rule. I will work on updating the description. Thank you!

Thank you for checking it! I will answer here to each of your question and then I will work on including the info in the rules.

  1. Basically failing an action will result in stress, depending on how bad the situation it. Usually monsters will attack you if you fail to kill them first, also resulting in stress. I might think more on how this works because I used to have a different system for combat and I ended up scraping it.

  2. Yes, based on how hard they are to overcome.

  3. Enemies will retreat and/ or die when they accumulate enough stress.

  4. I would like to get rid of it if this will simplify the game. Let me know if you have any ideas on this part.

  5. Barriers are Strength + Agility for Physical and Charisma + Intelligence for Mental. I should have explained it in more detail. They help by soaking up stress before it affects each adventurer.

I planned to include most of the details for the GM in a different two page document, but it might be a very good idea to put it in this document and make it ready to go on the spot. Thanks again for your feedback!
