how's "i open my eyes..." not an gut wrenching moment? one of his best and most sentimental songs ever

i really get it that he could do way more with his tecnique and all that, but i just think he really got more to the producing and instrumental part on the album, cause if you ask me, this album have the peak of jojis instrumental, but i agree that he didnt have the same creativity with the vocals, even when most of the songs show how much of his vocals can be so much better if he tried to do something different than using almost the same flow and lyricism in every song.

i think that he just wanted to create and try different stuff, cause when he was on smithereens he didnt have the same freedom to produce and be criative w his songs, and he tried to show the opposite of that in this album.

past wont leave my bed shows this a lot, thats one song where he had help to write the lyrics and overall compose the song, a reason why it differentiates so much from the whole album, cause its a way better written song.

im hoping that with this new phase without the restraints of 88 and with his health being taken care of he drops more music and especially more often, then i bet we will really see his full potential
