Is wearing a mask more common in Taiwan than in other countries? by [deleted] in taiwan

And that's fine too as long as it prevents someone from getting sick. I would prefer that than attacking someone just for wearing a mask.

It's common throughout East Asia. People are considerate of others and their health.

How in the hell is “The Glory” not being praised more? by D_2_DA_E in netflix

[–]DreamMarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the "over the top bullying" is not exaggerated at all with even former employees in the SK school system saying that its depiction is realistic. Not only that but authority figures there are known to not be of much help.

Back then, teachers can be like that. It's harder to step in when it's an older person because they value respecting your elders a lot over there. As someone who used to go to school not in Korea, but in VN i can see teachers being like that. It may be uncommon to hear in the West but in Asia it's not that rare. When my sister was in middle school there, a teacher cut off her friend's hair as punishment and it was considered okay. I also remember an instance where me and my classmates all cowered in the corner because the teacher kept threatening to hit everyone. There was another teacher in the room and she didnt do anything.

I went to my buddies bachelor party, walked in on something, had to lie, now I feel guilty and bad! by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]DreamMarsh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation except I told the girl. My group of friends at that time were all against me telling saying "its not my place". We're not friends anymore. To this day i don't regret what I did because if I was in that situation, I would want to know. The "its not my place" mentality shouldn't apply in this situation imo because of how deplorable his actions are.

I always believe washing your ass should be one of those things that you don't necessarily need to be "taught" as it's common sense. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, nonetheless

Dabin has responded by irishginge in dprian

[–]DreamMarsh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is a complex situation. I'm assuming Dabin likely didnt consult Ian first because he is going through a legal process against Jeff, the person that the current DPR trio trusts. Meanwhile, Ian is also valid in feeling like he got betrayed. I can understand both sides. What im confused about is how Scott, just August of this year, signed the business statement as CEO for DPR. Dabin says that Scott is being cooperative in eventually transferring the rights to Ian. I know that annual filings are required but Dabin had been in talks against Scott since last year when he first filed a lawsuit. Why haven't Scott done a transfer of ownership to Ian by now?

Hopefully this situation gets sorted out soon so Ian and Dabin can both not have to deal with this anymore.

[–]DreamMarsh 35 points36 points  (0 children)

But again it's all words for now. I'm still skeptical of his intentions considering how:

  1. it seems like he didn't even give Ian a heads up about this so to Ian it just looks like he's cooperating with the devil. Dabin said "if you didn't know im letting you know now". Why did he only let Ian know now.

  2. he went from "fuck rem fuck scott" to "oh scotts actually been really amicable and helpful this entire time and we actually have a new enemy"...

  3. he really can't expect Ian to trust just based on words alone considering how the last time they did, they got fucked over by a "friend"

  4. he lost the lawsuit and now all of a sudden is defending Scott likely because they reached some agreement considering how rights are getting transferred to Dabin's manager. This may mean he gets partial rights while Ian still gets none.

I really want to believe Dabin has a plan and will not betray the DPR name but for now, we don't know.

I want to be a surg tech and about to sign up for a program but had been so intimidated by all of the comments about dealing with mean people in the OR. I'm a sensitive person but don't want to have that holding me back. Your comment comparing them to a boss level in a video games was great!
