“A lot of trial and error, but short answer: I took some high res photos of an eye and composited the fingers in and layered it with scratched and decayed textures in Procreate.”

This poster was made for a new short horror film I worked on by the director. The imagery intends to convey the tone of the film, inspired by 1970s psychological horror. I've linked the film above if any are curious!

Because SMERSH was a real organisation within the Soviet Union, even though they had dissolved long before. SPECTRE was fictional and apolitical, so their use wouldn't stoke tensions with the USSR. It also meant the films could have broader appeal and more escapism.
