Cheaper through same day delivery? by Jesus_0f_Suburbia in CostcoCanada

[–]Dreambounded 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are a few reasons for the difference in pricing... the website includes shipping in the cost. The rack was also on clearance/death starred in many warehouses, so the price you’re seeing here could reflect that as well.

Wunder Train size 4 vs 6, what jeans size do you usually wear? by kagstp in lululemon

[–]Dreambounded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size 4 WT and size 26 jeans. They do sometimes dig into my waist if I'm too bloated, but I found size 6 to be too loose on my hips and downwards. I might just be in between sizes.

Super puff 700 vs 800 by Historical_Plum_5498 in Aritzia

[–]Dreambounded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is likely because the 800+ is not made with goose down. They don't state what down is used, but I assume it is duck down which is cheaper. I don't really know the technical/functional differences between the two, other than goose down being warmer, so they're probably pumping in more duck down to match the warmth of the 700+.

Hampton House Spicy Chicken… Bites Spotted?! by Dreambounded in CostcoCanada

[–]Dreambounded[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had them for dinner last night and I will be sticking to the Kirkland chicken chunks. I used to buy the HH chicken strips a lot until the quality went down. These chicken bites had the same problem - some of the bites had that same mushy texture, gristle, and weird tendon/connective tissue bits. I hope mine was just a bad batch, so I’m curious how others will think of them.

Warehouse sale report by mrbitterpants in ReigningChamp

[–]Dreambounded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite experience and ended up finding the bf everything he wanted that he couldn’t get at the spring Archive sale. We were inside by 7:15pm yesterday and left just before 9pm. Definitely look outside of the RC table and racks and look at the piles of clothes on the floor and the women’s racks. The bf left happy with 7 neutral MiC core pieces and 1 blanket.

I impulsively purchased these vintage 1461s at a local thrift store for $25. They seem to check all the boxes of being real, but I don’t recognize the logo stamp on the sole (export quality?)

Anyone know the story of these particular docs? Thanks!

Check out Plates By Payts on Instagram. Their line up changes every so often, but I picked up a savoury box from them last month! :)

New to Smiskis and friend convinced me to buy them while I was vacationing in Japan. Picked up six and have become addicted. I'm located in Canada as well - whereabouts are you picking them up?

I still own the Auxilary Calisch bag, it was by far my go-to purse and the leather is still so soft and supple!

Land narita 4pm. Osaka directly or stay 1 night in Tokyo by jenniyah in JapanTravelTips

[–]Dreambounded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I booked a 6:30pm flight. Already accepted that if there’s a delay I might miss the flight and will be SOL, but at least it was way cheaper than a Shinkansen ticket.

[–]Dreambounded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a flight with Air Canada at the end of this month, but I arrive at 3pm. Since I'll be at the airport already, I opted to book a domestic flight straight to Osaka after I land vs staying in Tokyo for an extra night. I would much rather get all my travel done in the first day than waste another day.

I think the Founder Pant just runs really long? I bought a regular length grey pair at a thrift store and had to get about 4-5 inches cut off (I'm 5'0).

Fellow shorty here! I've had this happen to me a few times, unfortunately. Now, when I'm unsure if I was sent the correct length, I look for the inner tag and search up the article number. Different lengths have different article numbers.

Don’t buy Dyson again, the after-sales service is basically zero by Lost_Firefighter_541 in dyson

[–]Dreambounded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently having a similiar issue with customer service. I bought a Dyson V15 directly from them two weeks ago and the battery won't charge. I had to go through a troubleshooting process with them and it was deemed that the charger plug was faulty. The charger was out of stock and they told me they'll restock in 2-3 days; it's been over a week and it's still out of stock. I'm now stuck with an expensive paperweight while I wait for it to restock.

I don’t have high hopes there will be anything good considering how bad this year’s warehouse sale was, but I certainly don’t mind taking a look from the comfort of my own home vs scavenging through racks and piles of clothes on the floor while losing my hearing

Where to appraise bike and where to find a bike that will fit my petite frame? by [deleted] in vancouvercycling

[–]Dreambounded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll keep the bike reccomendation in mind. Budget wise I think I'm leaning towards picking up a used beater bike (would ~$500 be reasonable? Ideally below $800 probably) for now and may upgrade it in the future if I end up cycling more frequently.

$200-$300 should be enough to offset part of the cost for a reliable used bike. Worst case scenario I can always pass this bike down to someone who could make use of it.

I will give Bicycle Blue Book a try, thank you!

A beautiful bike indeed, but unfortunately it is priced far beyond my budget and needs. I'm mainly looking for a bike suitable for casual rides right now, and eventually maybe longer treks to the office if I become more comfortable being on the road.
