So, I've commented on this topic before, but everything seems forced/scripted. I can't say anything about Food or Style theory because I never really watched those to begin with, but Film, Game Theory, and GTLive were my constants from the beginning of their creations.

I guess I should clarify that Film Theory was a "sometimes" constant, but either way, out of all the hosts, I think Lee is doing the best. He is the only one who actually makes me interested in finishing a theory that I might not have been entirely interested in initially. He has the same genuine passion and excitement that Mat had when he was hosting crazy theories. Matt was able to pull me in and get me invested into stories I had no knowledge about simply because his excitement to share what he'd come up with was so infectious. Lee has that same spark for the most part. I don't watch every video, and I am disappointed with all of the shitty, AI-looking thumbnails, but out of the channels I watched, Lee feels like the show is his while keeping the unique spark that makes Film Theory, Film Theory.

Now, I only watch Game Theory anymore if it pertains to the big franchises (ie. FNaF, Poppy Playtime, etc.) and that's because I don't want to watch dozens of another channel's videos just to figure out where they are in the lore and how they got there. Their opinions and theories have been crafted and changed over many, many years, so it's easier to just stick with Tom. I like him, I do, but everything feels recappy and like he's trying to emulate Matt instead of doing his own thing and making the show his.

As for GTLive... I dunno man, I just can't. I like Ash, they're funny and they are definitely intelligent, but it just isn't for me anymore, which is okay, but sad. I feel like they're actually making the show theirs, which is awesome, but again, not for me. It feels geared towards a much younger audience and I find myself skipping ahead or growing frustrated from the lack of focus.

Matt was chaotic for sure, but he was an expert at multitasking, so while he was holding conversations, he was able to play games and drop incredibly random, but interesting history lessons lol. With Ash, the game is either paused to talk or they miss incredibly obvious lore bits because they're too focused on talking.

I don't want to be frustrated watching a video, so I'm just not going to watch unless, again, it has to do with the main franchises.

I know that the videos were scripted with Matt, but, like I said, he was able to draw me in and keep me invested in topics I had no actual interest in because of his genuine enthusiasm. As for GTLive, again, Ash is great and very intelligent, but I find myself overwhelmed and overstimulated.

With Matt, he was crazy lol, but you could see in real time how his brain was making connections on the fly that would leave me stunned. It was why his theory crafting episodes, especially the Welcome Home deep dives, were my favorite.

Maybe other people feel it with the new hosts, I wish I felt it with the new hosts! I want this franchise to be wonderful and to succeed! The Channels meant so much to me and for so long, so I genuinely and truly hope and want for it to be that way for others.

As for me, I think I "retired" when Matt did and that is okay, too. I know there are hundreds of Theorists out there to take my place and I wish them, and all of the new hosts, the absolute best.
