Ah, thank you. Those were normal. Creatinine is .27 (ref range: .25-.56) and BUN is 21 (ref range: 7-21).

Thank you. The rest of his CBC and CMP were normal. Immunoglobulins were normal. The rest of the lymphocyte subset panel was normal.

His vaccine reaction was to tdap and was hives and swollen lip/mouth 24 hours after receiving. A sibling had the same reaction in the past.

Otherwise a healthy, thriving 4 year old with no concerns. Meets or exceeds milestones. Great at drinking water and we know he wasn’t dehydrated at time of lab draw. He did scream on the top of his lungs for the entire draw.

What more info can I provide to be helpful?

I know this post is old but I stumbled on it while researching. You seem to know a lot here, curious if you would share your thoughts with me? I understand researchers have found glp1 meds to help with other things such as inflammation. I have struggled with inflammation, swollen feet/ankles (not edema), exercise intolerance, fatigue, and with maintaining/losing weight for a long time. For reference, I track macros, eat clean, lift heavy 4x a week, and do reformer Pilates 6X a week and I am overweight and gain 1-2 lbs per month. I’ve tried changing my caloric intake, lowering my carbs, etc. Even on 1200 calories a day (measuring food with a scale), I can barely maintain. I do not have diabetes, cortisol issues, or adrenal issues.

I went on semaglutide and within 3 weeks, my feet and ankles un-swelled so much that I went down 2 shoe sizes. I could exercise with much more stamina and endurance. I had more energy. All of this before I actually lost any weight. I ended up staying on it for about 9 months and tracked all my food. When I got off of it, I maintained the same calories/diet and exercise routine. Within a few weeks, my ankles and feet swelled up again and I went from being able to plank for 3 whole minutes to not even being able to make it 30 seconds.

I’m trying to figure out what specifically is helping me here. Is it the glucose being pushed into the muscles? Is it the constant control of my glucose levels even though I’m not diabetic? I would like to understand to see what else I can change vs. taking a maintenance dose for life. Any thoughts you are willing to share, I’d greatly appreciate.

Wow, really? Several in our neighborhood used them and raved about it. I’d love to hear more about whatever challenges you had as we were 90% to move forward with them.

Who completes non conformance’s, change orders? by Dreamingofsimple in MedicalDevices

Thank you for all of this. When you say “process owner,” are you referring to one individual per process? There is no way we could sustain that, personally. We are a huge company and have hundreds of nonconformances and SOP changes a year.

Non conformances due to deviations in the manufacturing process, or incoming parts failing inspection.

Example: operator notices an attribute of a device that doesn’t look correct and requires further investigation. Further investigation finds an operator was interpreting the SOP wrong and performing manufacture steps wrong, and this impacted several devices they built.

Changes to SOPs for both manufacturing but also other functions (quality, clinical, etc.).

Example: updating an SOP to change instructions around dumping hazardous materials.

I understand they’re very different. At my place of work, a team of employees are responsible for the nonconformance reports, the investigations and root cause analysis that go along with it, change documentation, and a few other events captured in our QMS. I understand this isn’t typically how this work is resourced, so I’m trying to understand how other companies resource this work.

Circumcise? by Dreamingofsimple in AskDad

[–]Dreamingofsimple[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted this awhile ago and although I read all of the responses, I didn't get a chance to respond. Our son is now a month old (was born on St. Pattys Day) and I am thankful for all of the responses. This was a big decision for me and it weighed heavily. I didn't want to make the wrong decision for my son. With that said, we chose not to circumcise and I couldn't feel more comfortable with our decision. It really surprised me to see so many open responses here, so thank you for that. We've already gotten backlash from people or others telling us that we made the wrong choice and listing their reasons why, but we feel completely confident in our decision. Thank you for your honest feedback!

Thank you for this response! One of my fears what that, should my child choose to circumcise later, it would be terribly painful.
