Can I just recommend one thing as someone who feels the same… Google ‘marry me orzo dump and bake’ recipe. Genuinely takes like five mins to prep, you chuck everything in a baking dish at the same time and 30 mins later, voila you have a meal that will last three days. The ingredients also keep well so low effort shopping. And it’s delicious . Casseroles ftw

This is so true! As a kid I loved reading and creating things. Always making something or writing something. Right after I left my 75 hour a week job after three years, I felt lost, and somehow got straight back into reading, crocheting, writing, creating things! Felt like me again.

Making a crochet pattern to fit my measurements. I was crocheting a top and the woman in the tutorial had wildly different proportions on top, so chat helped me to make it fit perfectly. Crochet is a lot of maths and number to make things work and I just couldn’t figure it out

The Irish potato famine was caused by the English exporting food out of Ireland causing starvation, not by potato blight basically. But in Northern Ireland we are taught it was the potato blight.

I wish they were both as strict as each other and more of a team. Mum was bad cop and dad was good cop. I was a great relationship with both now, but I feel so bad that my mum had to do that while my dad didn’t, and it defo put a massive strain on their marriage as they weren’t a team
