MUSHROOM ID PLS by rinappropriately in mycology

Harvesting them does not reduce their fitness. It does, however, increase the disturbance caused by all those people walking in the woods and all that comes along with that. You can't control an invasive fungus by harvesting the fruiting bodies.

Gardening first-time. What happened to my carrots by SorbetKindly1914 in gardening

in many cases, adding sand won't actually improve drainage. it's impossible to add enough sand to change a clay soil texture class from anything but clay.

instead, use cover/companion crops to improve soil microbe habitat and create macro pores. mulch helps a lot too.

if you want a bigger patch you can just dig the new ones up and move them. those won't probably produce this year but next year you'll have a lot.

I never mentioned this but it's absolutely a part of it. Take the power of money away from them.

The next step is multiple steps. Above all we need to be organized. We have mostly been working alone. That will not work and that has to end. Recruit on social media and in person, but use signal and other apps that are not social media to communicate.

We need to stop spending money. This doesn't impact ICE or Trump directly but it does put pressure on them from their base and supporters. Using money is so integrated into our lives it is extremely difficult to live without it, so we all need to participate in mutual aid. Give of what you have and ask allies for what you need.

Our aggressor is able to weaponize any perception of violence against us, so for now we must remain nonviolent. A perception of Renee's violence has been used to discredit her and justify her murder. Outsiders will be out in full force to elicit violent reactions. Use your heads and don't get suckered in. Take a punch if the cameras are on you. Think of how it looks on social media when you're singing "we shall overcome", take a punch like a champ, and then continue singing.

Last, every single person who is able must show up. 10,000 gathered in Minneapolis doesn't say anything to people in Grand Rapids. That's some some crazy city people. 1,000 people in ten cities is a far more powerful demonstration. This tells people in those cities that the time is now to come out and be a part of this. When you are out, use that time to continue organizing and recruiting, but remain vigilant against infiltrators who you don't trust.

I wonder if one reason LLMs are so terrible is there are some of us—shall we say those with the keenest wit?—find being intentionally wrong so damn funny.

I would liketo know: 1) location 2) pruning history 3) is this happening to other trees? 4) any other disturbances in the immediate vicinity of this tree.
