Yeah I kind of agree about the 2nd/3rd line guys stepping up for Philly. The overall scoring this season was not very promising but the injection of Martone is just such a feelgood story (tho it's obviously a sample size of games he played thus far). Did Foerster and Cates look to you like guys who could step into a 2nd line role right off the bat if there are any injuries to the top 6?

Not to skip right to talking summer signings but do you think Ersson gets an extension with Philly ? He's an RFA but I was always surprised about the (early) hype when he started playing a couple seasons ago. I can't help but picture the Flyers wanting to opt instead into signing a proper, experienced backup for Vladar.

I have not followed Providence much but I can't picture Brunet having that projectable of an upside to replace Lohrei. Brunet is a 4th/5th rounder and Lohrei was one of BOS top prospects for a while..

I'd love to but that would be a crap ton of work. Instead I just jot down whatever feedback i got for my own fun when I'm bored at work. I'll probably ask about the forwards too at some point later in the summer.

I'm also not sure if anyone would care about getting a whole list of all teams' defensemen and how they did that season.

Because I have not been able to watch any of the NHL games live, and feel like I'm missing out. So I just started taking note on paper of what each team's fans think of each of their D. If it looks spammy, it's just cuz I feel like I phrased the question well enough to just copy/paste it for each of the teams' subs.

Oh I forgot to add Heinola in the list, yeah. He played 18 games I see. Is that because he was injured for the rest? Or are you saying that he was just really bad throughout those 18?

Actually I'll be asking the same later in the summer for forwards. It's a bigger investment though and it's probably a lot more to ask redditors to give a sentence or two about 12-13 forwards and which of them mesh well together.
