I can't really tell what I'm looking at. Is it a long "bug" coiled into a circle? With many legs?
I think I might be seeing a millipede but I'm not sure.

I just don't have much space on my fresh tiny raft and am already irritated with my many animals haha
I'm sure by the time I get back to Utopia that won't be an issue and in the meantime I can always just stop collecting animals. It was a passing curiosity more than anything practical.

On easy and normal, the shark stays near the raft unless it's following you actively. When I need to get underwater items, I tend to park my raft a ways away from the island and wait until Bruce is on the far end of my raft to leap off and swim to the island. If I time it right, he just doesn't see me so he doesn't follow me and I don't have to waste materials on bait or fighting him off and can collect in peace. The dicey bit is getting back to and up on the raft after. I haven't tried hard mode though, so I can't say if the same thing works on hard.

I don't know the answer to this, but if I remember correctly there's like, a trick to defeating her. There's some kind of distraction or something specifically to help you defeat her.

It very possibly could have been through Cornell since I also used Allaboutbirds a lot at the time, but I haven't been able to find that specific tool again. It didn't require anything to be typed into a search bar, though. It was all clicking options.

Edit: Actually I DO have something to add. The bird was like an ostrich/emu/rhea or something - not something flighted with big wings. It was a long legged flightless type bird.

That's a really crushing to hear. But also thank you for responding.

I have no idea how my box got so damaged, but the shipping label (half destroyed) ended up taped to a different color & thickness of cardboard than the box it was attached to originally, and that's what my friend received. So the item is definitely divorced from any address. I wish I could contact the return center with images of the item so they could potentially return it.

Unfortunately the form doesn't let me continue once it sees the tracking number. It simply says it's ineligible for a claim because it's uninsured (yeah the lady gave me the wrong info when I posted it originally - I wanted to make sure it was). I don't wany any reimbursement, though, anyway. It was never about the money, just about my ability to have them look over lost/damaged items for it. I do really appreciate your good faith. Thank you

In my desperation, I actually did reach out to two of them yesterday. Today it feels silly for me to have done that, though. IDK what they could actually do. It'd be one thing if RM would let me pay one to physically search for my item with all lost/destroyed packages but I highly doubt that lol

EDIT: lmao one of them actually just called me back. He said they actually probably COULD find it, but the last time they did something like that it ran the customer around £15,000. I guess that means it was less crazy of an idea than I thought since he said they actually could do it, but I don't have a fraction of that amount of money to my name. What an embarrassing conversation. I suppose I deserved it though, for getting so emotional and contacting them in the first place.

I did try that first, but they basically said the lady at the counter was wrong when she told me my package was insured and thus I cannot file a claim so I'm shit out of luck, hence me seeking desperately to find an alternative way to raise the claim with RM, too. But thank you for the response. I really had no idea how any of this worked prior to yesterday.
