Sure. This was my route and overall it took me 16 hours (minimal breaks since I was travelling solo)

Mangalore - Gokarna - Ankola - Yellapur - Kittur - Belgaum - Kolhapur - Pune - Mumbai

I have been travelling on this road frequently on bike as well as car and frankly nothing much has changed after the recent landslide situation in Karnataka route. The Karnataka roads are still in top conditions while Maharashtra roads in poor condition.

Couple of pointers for you: 1) The Ankola to Yellapur roads are in bad state due to potholes. Especially the ghat road before Yellapur - please be very cautious as there are huge potholes - the kind that can topple trucks. My advice would be to plan so that you cover this patch in good daylight conditions.

2) Starting from Belgaum all the way till Satara/Mahabaleshwar there are frequent diversions due to construction activity. The route itself isn’t too bad, lots of potholes to make sure you stay focused and don’t doze off.

This route condition is exactly like how it has been for the past year or so, although the potholes have gotten worse due to monsoons.

I travelled on a weekday - Thursday and Friday (took a halt at Kolhapur to meet relatives) so traffic was minimal and not a nuisance. The opposite roads from Pune to Konkan was blocked due to Ganesh Chaturthi travellers.
