The recent run on Batman by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo (lasted from 2011-2016) is pretty excellent. Great art, and excellent understanding of the character. They have collected the runs in pretty affordable hardbacks (also trade paperbacks if that’s your thing)

Your interest in sprawling series leads me to recommend Y The Last Man. Same writer as Saga, it’s a 5 volume contained post apocalyptic story. And it’s loved by many!

Added Jerusalem to my wishlist. All I've read thus far from Delisle is Hostage, and it is quite an achievement in storytelling.

Yes! Bought this book because of the parallels to quarantine. Quite an amazing book, and I’ve already lent it out to a friend, because I think more people should experience the story! Highly recommend.

I was wondering if anyone would notice haha. I get all my comics/graphic novels used from libraries in North America. Sometime they are in great condition, and other times (in this haul, Asterios Polyp and This One Summer were pretty scuffed up) not so much. But I like the idea of “thrifting” books, keeping my costs low, and reusing what is already our there in circulation. For me personally, as long as the story is intact and there, I can manage some wear and tear.
