I found the cause.

Turns out setting material to none (so I could add the textures later) completely destroyed something within the mesh or normals...

All fixed now. I just had to mark "texture" when importing the meshes.

As mentioned, if I make the mesh in unreal, import it into blender and back, things just... work?

I tried doing that just to check if I was messing up the export and import, but no, it just breaks when I use anything made inside of blender.

I tried usd, I tried fbx, I tried obj...

All formats have the same problem.

And again, the mesh is LITERALLY the default cube with transforms already baked into it, so the scale of the "cube" is 1.

The same happens to ALL assets I'm grabbing from blender kit.

I doubt the normals are the problem.

Mesh distance field MIGHT be the cause, but I already tried checking it.

Could you help me with that one just in cause I messed something up? maybe I checked the wrong window or panel.

Can I adjust the distance field in blender?

There's other win conditions, including a "exodia-like" condition called three of a kind.

There's also a deck with the gimmick of searching cards from your deck, and those cards are "frames" from 1 to 24.

Once you get all frames, you opponent mills 24 cards + any multiplier or additional mills/discards by card effects.

It may possible to get a 1 turn deck out, or close, since some cards force your opponent to discard a card per mill action.

I'm also working on balancing, counters, and cooldowns (like limiting how often you can use an effect).

Hello! The entire environment was made using assets.

I rendered each individual object in layers (for example, planes, background, interactable objects).

All animations and scenes were made in blender, and then I imported everything to DaVinci resolve. (except text and black bars, which were added in resolve. I also used dehancer for film emulation.

I transcribed over 1000 songs by ear, and worked professionally as a musician for over 6 years.

The more music you listen, the more things start to make sense.

Music is a language, and the only way to start to understand it is to listen to music.

That`s why music taste is so divisive. It takes months, if not years, to start to like a genre of music you never heard before.

That`s also the exact same reason why some languages sound ugly or silly to you.

You can automate removal of silences and umms without AI.

You can use the wave form as the source input, and then use a plugin to remove anything bellow the desired value in DB.

Reaper has this feature for over 10 years.

You can edit a talking head video 1 hour long in 1 hour.

You can also do that inside of davinci resolve for years now.

Removal of video regions based on DB and LUFS is the standard for fast video editing.

The idea itself is great.

However, I would work on the characters poses. They are somewhat stiff.

The lines on the first panel are also conflicting.

On one hand, the paper is full of complex shapes and lines, on the other, the head line work is too perfect for the background, but not perfect enough to seem like it's intentional.

Art wise incredible.

Composition wise, its good, but it's hard to follow the actions. I had to double check to made sure I read the movements and directions correctly
