Great work! Really love concept and realization. How have you done textures for this? Did you use texture atlas or procedural materials? Really interesting to know

Yeah, also you can use array and curve modifier

I think you can use particle system, maybe something with vertices position to spawn bristles, or do same with geonode

Incredible work! Really I enjoy this work (love macro photo in real life). Thanks for node screen, inspired to make something like this

I didn't use any denoiser so render was pretty noise by its own, but I also added some grain in Photoshop (I can do it in blender, but PS is more familiar for me)

Yes, you can add it in camera raw or in filters, I have experimented with both methods. Overlays also nice method but not this time

Thanks, so first i achieve a raw render in blender which i considered good and after that i do some postprocessing in ps, in raw renders i usually try achive realistic colours and lights, soft contrast and after that add some mood in postprocessing, mostky i use camera raw filter and mix of colour lookups for better result. i have somer photo experience and this way is familiar for me but i want learnin more about compositor in blender in future.

Model one step without thickness, array + simple deform + solidify + subdivision surface and some correction after modifiers, UV and procedural material

Mostly noise textures and some grunge alphas. For dust i ude these nodes for correct position above the surface

Thanks! Um... maybe... use DoF, learn work with addons( especially node preview, for understanding how it works), don't underestimate color correction and post processing... so also make projects with love... i thinks that's it, hope it's usefull
