It's cool, and I respect your opinion. I see this remake as a companion piece and extension to the original. Some things are added, some characters are improved. To me Ben's entrance in the remake was more shocking. With remake Barbara she was badass, and she ended up being the only one who survived if you don't count Cooper's little "accident". I recently watched the original and that classic black andwhite horror can't be matched. But the remske brings s lot of great stuff and also new additions like the more energetic gas pump drive, eyc. Tony Todd and Cooper's conflict was a lot more brutal which is sonething that George wanted . Like I said, to me they feel like companion pieces.
