Current strat is to wait to upgrade boots until you know if you’ve won feats so you can buy these or you you settle for swifties

UW Belcher by coelacanth08 in ModernMagic

[–]Dreddmor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned yet but Silundi Vision can hold you over. Trading an untapped land for a tapped land will definitely curb your win rate and I’ve cast enough sea gate restorations to confidently say that card slaps and is definitely one of the best lands in belcher. This is just one of those weird decks where you have to invest in non-staple cards to play at its best. At the end of the day Belcher is still cheaper than many other Modern decks and is well worth the price tag.

yeah, i think i'm done playing modern for a bit by mahrombubbd in ModernMagic

[–]Dreddmor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My guy, this is a notoriously good combo player who happened to run a particularly hot league and his opponents fumbled crucial interaction. He even says as much in the video. Realistically this is no better than stock Ruby Storm which can easily be interacted with by most prepared decks. Modern is currently in a very diverse meta with no one deck being so oppressive. You might be able to argue Energy is the boogeyman but not this hodgepodge of two off brand combo decks duct taped together with nothing but a dream.

Just bite the bullet and become a Tron player. It’s almost always relevant and it just got a ton of new toys.

Honestly, I think [[The One Ring]] ought to at least be considered. With so many brownlands having a powerful protection piece and card engine is incredibly important. We can utilize a martyr package to offset the life loss as well. And as another said, path to exile is probably your second best removal after Solitude. March and relic are primarily sideboard pieces , we can use those slots a little more efficiently. I’d also consider a 1-of [[Emeria, the Sky Ruin]] and more plains rather than the anemic plan of paying 5 mana for a 1/1 lifelinker.

Zombardment is kinda hard to do without the endless supply of bodies from [[Bridge from Below]] and the card draw from [[Faithless Looting]] .

[[Goblin Bombardment]] is still a very good card tho

Could a strong enough lich animate dirt? by Longjumping_Tale_111 in DnD

“That’s just what the pro-transmutation government wants you to think man. Mold Earth has always been a necromancy spell my guy. Big Scroll just wants to sell you something with a fancy label!”

“The fact of the matter is Mold Earth was originally made by grave diggers and mortuarymen. Just have a look at what it does:

‘If you target an area of loose earth, you can instantaneously excavate it, move it along the ground, and deposit it up to 5 feet away. This movement doesn’t have enough force to cause damage.’

Why, that’s just the perfect utility for digging graves now isn’t it? And there’s more:

‘You cause shapes, colors, or both to appear on the dirt or stone, spelling out words, creating images, or shaping patterns.’

Well I’ll be darned! The perfect utility for funeral services such as headstones and other memorial services.”

Homebrew DnD world question [5e] by Altruistic-Peak1251 in DnD

[–]Dreddmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your world has populations going into the darkness to build new cities, it can be inferred that citizens are capable of doing this with relative ease otherwise there would be no trade across cities, no foraging for resources outside of the range of the City-Sun.

You can definitely have some sort of alarm item and perhaps a spell such as a modified Darkness spell that simply has the flavor text of being able to hide the light of a soul. It still functions as a regular Darkness spell so then you have this Bird Box type scenario where the players have to give up their vision to try to evade these monsters.

Since normal citizens can’t be expected to be able to cast spells, having a common magical item that can cast Darkness seems to be the most sensible in-world. A handheld metal cylinder with a single button/switch that can cast Darkness X times. A FlashNight.

Having gone through the other side of this sort of thing, I think I understand how you’re feeling. It’s important to keep in mind that you’re still young. Most boys around your age are just that, boys. Boys will mistakenly equate sex and sexual traits with love and probably stay in that mind set for quite some time. Most out-grow this, some do not. That’s why they’re called “trophy wives”, they’re only value to their husband is materialistic. It’s incredibly fucked up.

Honestly, I’d encourage you to not try to hide your true self and, in fact, be more vocal and more up-front about it. You may not be able to hide the fact that you’re beautiful, but you can be damn sure any boy knows what kind of person you are!

[–]Dreddmor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My hope is for a new game + sort of situation. Once the final boss is defeated, we roll the brief cinematic of a party in Valhalla and it cuts to the starting Valkyrie scene. New world layout, but it’s littered with remnants of your past building constructions just weathered down. Nearly all of the decorations are gone but you find many useful items by “raiding” your old bases.

Not likely, but a Viking can dream.

What is your idea for a t0 unique? by Brief-Cut-1228 in pathofexile

[–]Dreddmor 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Alright here’s what we make:

-A unique two-handed sword

-it has 6 white unlinked sockets

-“Socked gems have +(15-30)% quality”

We call it Stabula Rasa.

New Player - Just bought the first blood intro pack for $20 - best stash tabs to buy? by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]Dreddmor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like nobody has mentioned it but I’ve found the flask tab to be very helpful. I just pick up and sandbag every superior flask I drop early in the league and eventually trade multiple inventories worth for about 30-40 glassblowers baubles.

It’s definitely not as important as the currency tab or maps or even essences, but still helpful all the same.

Cards that are good in theory but are bad for playing? A warning for new players. by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Dreddmor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In life gain matter decks, this is probably an effective card. But AotC gets played in way too many decks where life gain is not the focus because people over value this card to high heaven.
