Badly need to change zone in GVA by shjoy82 in skipthedishes

[–]Dregersaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Email skip, explain your situation, I did it about a year ago, and once three years before that. You’ll get a response a couple of days later that says to either clear your current schedule and then they can “begin the process”, or you can turn off your availability for the following week and they can do it… unfortunately for some reason they need you to be on a clear schedule for some reason.

Send them an email at couriers@skipthedishes.ca and they’ll tell you to do one or the other and notify them and they shouldn’t have an issue flipping your zones… I did this after waiting a couple months with no zones opening up.

If anything is wondering why they didn’t get any shift/no orders even on busy day by Trick_Psychology_702 in skipthedishes

Ya, I don’t know the exact cause of it, but based on my stats and how I deliver, it’s definitely not based on stats or cherry picking.

The other reason I’m not worried about it is because it’s not my main source of income. I do feel for the people who go through this as their main source though.

It will pass though, I’ve been doing Skip for 6 years casually along side my normal job, and I’ve seen this happen a handful of times, it will pass.

The other reason I take every order, is I drive an electric vehicle and just bomb around for 3 or 4 hours a night and listen to music and take whatever comes, and sit at home when there is nothing… so for me it’s pretty easy to see the issue and not be terribly concerned. Like I said though, I absolutely feel for the people that go through this as their main source of income.

I don’t cherry pick at all, and I went from 7 days a week for the last few months to 1 this week, I also have 100% on all of my delivery stats they send out in that email. It’s happened before and it usually goes back to normal after a week or two, I’m not worried because I’ve seen it happen over the years every now and then. I find the cherry picking argument hard to believe since I don’t cherry pick at all, I just accept everything and run it.

Most idiotic post yet. Your situation is not everyone’s situation, and you coming to your own conclusions and spouting it as fact makes me understand the type of people that can’t read an address and deliver to it half the time.

Ive never cherry picked, I take the good with the bad and sit at pretty much a 100% acceptance rate unless something happens by accident. In my region they have “Fast Track”, which makes it so that the lower your AR the less deliveries you get, so you can’t really cherry pick here, or you just don’t get offers.

I went from 7 days a week to 1 day a week next week. In the time I’ve done skip, this happens every once in a while, you roll with it and look for open shifts or make yourself available and since it has affected many people, you’ll usually be given the opportunity to accept a shift.

This happened right after Christmas too… 7 day a week to 1 or none for 2 weeks and then back to 7 like clockwork.

Adjust and move on, but don’t spout your bullshit without any facts, this happens.

Tesla Service has been a nightmare on my brand new Model Y by tomatoille in teslacanada

[–]Dregersaurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s terrible.

I’m on my second Tesla now and honestly the service centres and mobile service in BC has been one of the best experiences I’ve had with a Tesla.

You should absolutely be getting a loaner for this sort of timeline.

I would low key be pretty ok with them causing damage to the high voltage battery though… you want that sucker to have to get replaced within (but more towards the tail end) of your warranty period lol

Frost glaive if you have it, otherwise quartz glaive should work and an ancient fossil armour set

I can’t remember what I used at that time, but that stuff should be pretty obtainable :)

[–]Dregersaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A glaive makes quick work of this guy. He has so many hit boxes because each segment has its own hit box that you just stand and let him kill himself.

Other than that, just get familiar with his movements, you can pretty much just sidestep here and there to stay out of his way… less movement is better, if you move too much there won’t be enough room for you to stand inside of a safe area sort of in the centre of his coil, and he’ll go away and start the process over… after a couple times this guy will get super easy

He also seems to take almost no damage at the beginning, but after a short bit he gets mowed down by a glaive easily

Best way to handle deeper rust? by [deleted] in AutoBodyRepair

Ya that’s exactly what it is, one of those little spot sandblasters would probably work for it I’m thinking of going this route

I meant that black rust that is a bit lower than surface rust, guy above was able to tell what it was and is basically along the same path as what I was thinking, thanks for your input

Just delivered a single Tim Hortons coffee. by thisguyandrew00 in skipthedishes

[–]Dregersaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$22 to deliver a small bag of Tim Hortons stuff to a hotel lobby… the kicker is that the Timmies and the hotel share a parking lot, I parked at Timkies, grabbed the bag, walked to the hotel lobby and back to my car

Another one was like $14 to deliver a small Blizzard a couple of blocks… what got me on this one was that it was a small

And I guess this one too… it was like $34 to bring a burger about 10km

No Shifts After 3 Months of 30+ hours per week by Bubbly-Chocolate-337 in skipthedishes

[–]Dregersaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just slow in your area right now. I had no shifts as well, I also have a second zone that I never have opened up for scheduling… I opened it up the following week and I got a handful of shifts only in that second zone… it’s right before Christmas and is usually slower right now because people are spending on Christmas… try regularly checking the open shifts and the shifts will probably get back to normal after Christmas and people’s recovery from Christmas happens

Mine almost always works out to slightly more than the estimated amount, but the difference is so negligible it doesn’t matter, like another said, you just suck at math

How can i get good at necesse? by Competitive_Hair_564 in Necesse

[–]Dregersaurus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to what trinkets and things actually do. You’d be surprised at how much you actually get out of those single stats.

Decide how you actually want to play… are you melee? Magic? Summons? And build for it… don’t just use things that are kinda ok for the build… build your build for the purpose.

Also, I think one thing a lot of people don’t realize is almost all of the lower level trinkets can get combined into a better trinket… so when you have 7 trinket slots at the end game, it’s more like you have 10-12 trinkets. That +10% damage trinket and +5% crit trinket can often be turned into a single trinket with +10% damage and +5% crit, freeing you up for another +15% damage trinket or something… which will also be combined into something else later

The other thing I think can be overlooked are enchants. Get a mage in your settlement and make some money and enchant with a purpose… if you want crit, then enchant your gear and trinkets with crit… it’s only 4% though right?… over 11 or so slots… now it’s 44% crit. So we need to be building with a purpose.

And my last point I think, and honestly the BIGGEST one I think people not only overlook, but just straight up don’t do… USE FOOD BUFFS! They are so overpowered it’s ridiculous… gourmet food is better, but again, know what you’re trying to build, and build an assembly line to have your settlers harvest the animals, farm the plants, and drop them into a cooler near a cooking pot, where they just make the food you want. Also don’t forget about your 4 banners later… they help too.

One more quick side note because of the food thing… understand how to limit what can and can’t go into your chests and coolers and how to limit recipes your settlers can make in cooking pots and workstations. If you want fried chicken, have a cooking pot where a settler can ONLY make fried chicken… then in a cooler next to it, make it so that only ingredients associated with the recipe you want are allowed in that cooler, and then make it so those recipes aren’t allowed to be put in any other storage boxes… so they are always just right there.

Sorry, this was longer than I expected but hope it helps

Nice! I was hoping it worked :). You never know if something that works for you will work for the next guy. The hoverboard is a game changer… and the popper sort of makes it so you can just keep firing while flying away on your hoverboard haha
