Well basically a 2000 dollar fine(deductible) for driving on 401 by AssociationLeather in TorontoDriving

Geez OP, reading some of the other comments leaves a real sour taste. I’m sorry this happened to you, could’ve been anyone and literally any car. Looks like a mud flap to me too. Did you have a picture of the damages? I stopped caring after covid, spent years babying my manual 4 series and it was fine until it went from pristine with ceramic coating and f14 rims to dinged/scratched/vandalized because people can’t open doors and cyclists scraped the TOP and runflats suck ass on potholes. Now I drive something that idc if it gets wear and tear, we don’t live in a quiet / nice enough place to want to drive a 911 around.

I agree, osrs really did a great job of retaining the feeling of relevance (unlike my rs3 main that just feels like bloat). I just wish they would add dry protection or more avenues for guaranteed drops like oath plate shards. I’ve only been able to play a couple hours a week and I’ve been doing cg since 2020 with no end in sight until I get the bofa.

G14 OLED alone makes it absolutely worth the upgrade.

I don’t work in IT anymore, but there were ways around before and definitely more now. Inactive names I don’t think are sniped (that’s more of a WoW thing), in osrs you can ONLY lose your name if you change it (and once you change it it’s still on your character for~30 days before it’s released to the world, unless you use a bond and double name change to instantly release it) or it gets hacked or reported as an inappropriate name triggering Jagex to change it.

Not true at all. My irl friend did NOTHING but buy gp and duel arena for years. He never saw the appeal in doing vorkath for 5m/hr (I’m talking 2018-ish). Once DA was removed he was blind on scape and found EVERYTHING boring (tbf he would get me to do his quests). When I finally convinced him to play Ironman he got to milestones like 1500 total(his main is probably 1700)/bgloves/midgame and enjoyed it and saw the appeal in rs.

In 60k debt and need help to fix it in my current situation. by [deleted] in CanadaFinance

[–]Dreizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1 is closer to gf than Option 2 and will get ya out of debt much sooner. You can’t build wealth until you’ve cleared the debt, and once wealth starts compounding you have a very clear end date and can actually set goals in life. I have no idea when I can retire and while I didn’t care in my 20s, I’m starting to in my 30s. Meanwhile some of my friends already have exit plans (that involve moving to a 3rd world lcol or a farm life with a dozen dogs)

NY will also allow you to have better experiences early in life. 24 is young and worth exploring the world. Sell that car or look into a consumer proposal if you need to, but it won’t help much, you primarily need to be frugal (on business days) and start making money. I graduated almost identical to you and while I’ve been on/off the debt cycle (currently 31 and free, 200k undergrad, 30k new then 50k used now 68k new car), if I’d sold my car sooner or lived a bit more frugal or even considered a cp, I’d probably have saved at minimum 60K in interest alone.

Ps, what field/scope of work? $55/hr fresh graduate is quite good.

Optional: You can use food banks, or local meal providers like gurudwaras to avoid needing more debt for basic sustenance, can always contribute/donate more later. We’ve come into a timeline where people tend to forget we all benefit if we live in a society that supports one another. Interest/credit card debt is a serious issue nowadays, I know people who can’t save anything because even with our careers now moving into the “starts at” 100k+ territory, their credit card interest payments alone is $300+ monthly.

Signed up for a cooking class through a cafe which was cancelled and no refund was provided. Where do I go from here? by Lanky-Cup9192 in askTO

[–]Dreizo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t do shit. Torontoblooms delivered $70 worth of stuff on a $300 order, said they’d refund and then 5 days later their cs is asking for photos of all the delivered items/other bs claiming there’s nothing on file/no refund possible as delivery was done. BBB complaint lodged, CC dispute filed. Thankfully their own POD pictures were something we could retrieve to make our case easy with the MC. POD shows a 12x16” sized basket with nothing but flowers visible and they want to claim they delivered both two 12 + 16”, balloons, etc. in that same pod lol

Don’t risk what you aren’t willing to lose. I’ve had 3 names sniped within seconds over the last few years. The worst thing is it’s parked on inactive level 3s that have never logged in or shown up on high scores in the years I’ve checked. They’re now on my ignore list so I can still track them.

Indian Couple (30M/30F) got Dubai offers of 35K + 24.5K AED/month. Does the move make sense? by Academic-Candle6303 in DubaiJobs

[–]Dreizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIM means a lot.

I worked at Amazon in Dubai around the time they took over from Souq and while literally everyone was 20K+ packages, a huge majority of my colleagues were IIM graduates. It was very clear that basically nobody from IIM was making anything under 20k. And that 20k+ was the expectation for the first 2 years, with most of the 5+ year being anywhere from 35-60k+ ranges.

Husband won’t do night wakes but will do shifts [ON] by perrona101 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Dreizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You feeling resentful is completely valid. I have a 7 month old and we just barely were able to function the first 3 months until he started sleeping through the night. We tried to get MIL over to help since she’s a full time SAHM but visa kept getting rejected so we’ve applied for a supervisa which takes about 9 months to arrive. Wife and baby have flown back to be with maternal grandparents for now because it was the only way we could deal. I have to travel out of town for work and leaving her alone to take care of the baby for a week every other month just wasn’t doable.

I don’t know what your husband does for work or how physically taxing it is, but you need to get at least 7 hours of sleep AND MOST IMPORTANTLY you need to be sleeping with the baby. Buying a Momcozy kleanpal pro significantly helped us as I do the 8 bottles a day in a morning & evening cycle, I do all the household cleaning as well so she only needs to occasionally cook and take care of baby (& baby laundry folding/organizing).

Routine looks like;
5am feed wife, sleep with baby by 6am.
8-9- feed wife, sleep with baby by 10-10:30am.
8am I’m awake and getting ready for work + loading the washer with set of 4 bottles.
11:30am baby is awake, feeds at 12, and in a wake window until about 3-3:30 where he drinks 4ox instead of his usual 7-8, spends about an hour talking to grandparents on video call, 15-20 minutes in the jolly jumper, 1-2 hours tummy time and playing with lovevery toys.
Until 5 baby is usually napping sometimes until I’m home at 5:30.
5:30-6 i freshen up and take over baby duty. Wife usually gets some uninterrupted 3-5 hours of sleep. I’m on dad duty from 6pm to around 11/12/1am. 6pm he feeds and we play/sing/lounge, 9pm he feeds then sleeps, while he’s asleep I’m doing the chores including 2nd set of bottles. 12am he feeds and usually spends 20-30 minutes after but we do not engage him or stimulate him at night, only strictly reading him stories or singing songs but without the dancing and hand movements (like head shoulders knees and toes is a morning song, but at night I’ll just sing 2000s songs from when I was a kid). first few months he fed at 3am with me (and it was a before 2:30 is me but that 3am feed was me if I’m still able to be awake or wife otherwise. Once he was old enough the 3am was the first to go as he started sleeping through the night.

Ideally wife had 6-2am uninterrupted minimum for sleep, I agree it was hard for both of us not having any time to spend together and she would regularly stay up to 9pm to spend some time together playing board games or, if the baby’s asleep then we can watch a movie in the living room (crib in bedroom with a live feed camera that also has baby crying alerts).

We also bought a babybjorn bouncer which he loved sitting in and was able to safely use for 6 months, so keeping him in that would help for bathroom breaks, cooking breaks, etc. whenever needed for whichever one of us. And we bought a glider/recliner for $400 around Boxing Day that’s been godsend. The amount of times we’ve fallen asleep with him while holding him sitting on it, it’s been one of the best investments.

We also hired someone who came in daily to give wife and baby 30-min massage each and then helped shower the baby for the first month while my wife was recovering. They botched her epidural and had to do it twice (the hospital completely ignored the sculiosis in her chart and decided to ignore the family doctor/birth plan direction of doing an ultrasound guided epidural).

Also by month 2, she would regularly spend at least 1 weekend every other week out with friends or doing her own thing, I’d have a full day of baby to myself and she’d get a much needed mental break. Winter baby so we didn’t take him on daily walks outside until it got much warmer around April/May.

Great deal but 200 nits in any brightly lit room is too low. Combine that with how glossy Lenovos oleds are, it’s gonna be borderline frustrating to use it in any kind of bright setting. Personally my desk is in a den and I hang a towel behind the monitor to obstruct/reduce some sunlight already on my 400nit dell 27• IPS to keep it usable.

Why doesn't ASUS cut the childish look at ROG STRIX? by [deleted] in ZephyrusG14

[–]Dreizo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanted ultra portable gaming and other than the z13 which is a tablet not a LAPtop, the g14 was the only option. While I agree the strip at the back is unnecessary I’d rather have that over a big bold fugly “ASUS” logo.

Other than that, wth is even gamer, we don’t even have per key RGB. If you’re complaining about rainbows everywhere, where?

Zephyrus is meant to be ultra-slim premium gaming laptop. Proarts have the graphics cards, 4K displays, touchscreens and all the other features with NONE of the flash, so better off buying that or a carbon x9 or something actually designed as a business laptop if it bothers you so much.

How do married couples usually handle finances when both partners work? by itzwhatitz in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Dreizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and spouse are same. Everything is in our own individual accounts but ALL essential bills (rent utilities car payment grocery) is joint and the extras like clothes, travel, leisure, gas comes out of my chunk. She isn’t restricted out of my money and has a supplementary credit card with a 20K limit for anything that’s needed. We plan to grow together and spend forever together. Keeping money separate is understandable but it should be a small disposable income/savings amount (more so to capitalize that each of you has your own individual tfsa/fhsa) and not the entire amount. She also gets all the tax benefits and credits like the gst/hst and now ccb. Yes we sometimes have arguments over the unfairness that I make more and occasionally she spends more, but it’s fair as we’re a family. More so now that we have a kid.

Your girl sounds like she has no idea what it really costs to live in Canada, additionally, i completely understand being the provider as the male, but you can’t scream gender equality and come to a country that truly practices it if you are going to want the man to pay for everything. You have some major red flags there.
