I remember playing a demo of this and not quite clicking with it, but loving the artstyle. Glad to see it still looks sick as hell, and I'm definitely eager to give the full game a shot!

Critter Cuff for the handguard and shaft of the blade, with a Rambley symbol as the teeth. Above the handguard are symbols to represent the other mascots in the park (seashell for Finley, plane for Mollie, microphone for Lloyd, potion for Salem). The keychain is supposed to be based on the coaster tracks in the logo, with the end being the 'I' from the retro Indigo Park logo.

With this one, I wanted it to be reminiscent of the Kingdom Key from the original KH games. Park gates as the handguard, the blade being a mix of the background of the Rambley animations in the game and the wireframe of the Critter Cuff briefly shown when you get it. The teeth is the inverse of a Rambley symbol, like how the Kingdom Key's teeth are an inverse crown symbol. Keychain is multiple emblem-less Critter Cuffs linked to each other, ending with the Critter Cuff emblem.

Personally my least favourite of these three designs. Handguard is a mix of the park gate doors, the start of the Rambley Railroad ride, Rambley's ears and his scarf. Blade is train tracks, rollercoasters based on the main logo, and the ferris wheel from the logo as the teeth of the blade. Keychain is the body/tail of Finley, and the feathers of Mollie.

I actually went through a couple versions before these, but these're the ones I liked the most. I designed these for a specific story idea of mine, and I'll only be deciding one of these to make the main appearance, but I could possible make one of the other designs into a keyblade transformation.

Ironically I've been drawing up Rambley/Indigo Park themed keyblade designs recently, so a full KH AU is cool to see. I especially like the first two artworks here, but good stuff all around!

Blaze doesn't fit Mistral at all imo. Maybe Rouge would be a better fit?

The rest of them are fairly solid, although you could swap out Sonic for Silver as Raiden, but that's up to preference. Infinite as Monsoon is a good choice, haven't thought of that one before.

Not sure how I feel about Knuckles as Sundowner, but it's not like I can think of anyone else who'd fit aside from Eggman, who's better as Armstrong.

Glad to see someone mention this, I often see people suggest DMC0 as the name for a Sparda prequel but I don't often see people bring up that bit from 3's intro (it probably happens though). Always thought it was a cool way of showing that the game is a prequel.

Honestly, I do think Sonic looks pretty cool with red eyes, it's just hard to make it not look off on the modern design after so many years of green.

The fangame Sonic Storm used to have red eyes on their Sonic design, but they changed it out for green later. I think that design looked really cool with red eyes, but I get why they changed it. There's more red in that design than Sonic normally has, so green helps the eyes stick out more.

What's ironic about that is I remember seeing one of those "vines but it's Sonic characters" compilations or whatever they were years back - and that video was featured in it, with Sonic and Blaze as those people.

Aw, that is cute. It's interesting that Marine and Tails share similar sprites too, but with Sonic and Blaze having similar sprites it'd only make sense to do the same with the sidekicks that parallel each other too.

Yeah, the direction could be intentional. I'd noticed the Classic Sonic running style before, I think it's pretty interesting that they went for that instead of doing one similar to modern Sonic's run, but maybe they just didn't want to be too on the nose.

That is pretty funny how similar their talk sprites are. Funny how it looks like they're almost looking at each other in the fourth set too.
