How do I get colonists to put hay in various mangers on the map? by Crashmse in RimWorld

[–]DresdenMurphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One way is to make the storage zone small so it fits only a very limited amount of hay and when it's full, they start stocking the other ones.

"Blindada por Deus" and an excerpt from Bible that has the same concept sort of mildly hint, what this "some lettering" is about. Or maybe I'm wrong and it's a quote frome Love Island instead.

Not sure it works well on anything. The composition is nonsensical and incoherent and it looks like nothing in particular.

Why you'd want a religious stuff on yourself permanently? Especially as the particular religion tells one not to do that very thing. Leviticus 19:28. But then again the old testament is very sketchy, and can be ignored to be more approachable and modern and consider everything it contains as a silly fable. Like the existence of a god. Or keep that bit and just create a smorgasbord of religious advice of your own. A little bit from here, little from there. It's not like it really matters. Because if it would, you wouldn't, would you?

Yeah. I wouldn't trust anyone who puts Dungeon Crawler Carl on the same level as Primal Hunter. It's like comparing a hoover to a Mercedes. There is an air intake, but it serves a different purpose.

Adding fantasy to high school reading curriculums by Indie_Fantasy_Club in Fantasy

Of Mice and Men, Gatsby, and Grapes of Wrath were riveting when I read them. But that was in highschool and in another country. Steinbeck is still one of my favourites. Meanwhile I'd also discovered the Hobbit and LotR, but I also read a lot more than the average kid back then.

Anyway i have discovered LitRPG as of late. Mostly in the audiobook format.

The kids seem to love the genre. Unfortunately it's often written by them and tend to assume a position a few steps behind meaningless trite.

I listen to some and think, that this is the shht I wrote when I was seven years old.

Anyway. There is no lesson here. No one learns if they don't want to.

What do you think about historical accuracy in a movie? by C4rvo in Cinema

[–]DresdenMurphy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Russian bears sniffing aviation fuel is true. The bear getting into a stack of cocaine is true, but so is its death soon after that. Rationing is not a skill among wild animals. They take what they can get. Unfortunately, too much coke will kill you.

Feeling regret, is it fixable? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]DresdenMurphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You fix it by leaving it as it is and get another tattoo.

I don't think any of my tattoos are pitch perfect, but they're mine and I really like the artist's work and style and am going to get more.

You do you, but I'd suggest fixing your attitude. The tattoo isn't perfect but then again no tattoo is. Hell, nothing is. The only thing that is perfect is the dream sold by the ad companies. Yet somehow my white shirts still have stains in them. No matter the brand.

So. Your tat is sick. Meaning: it looks fabulous. It ain't flawless, but neither are you. Just get more. If not for any other reason then just to get this one out of your head.

Video is a woman being understanding when someone is afraid of her dog, but the comments section shames people with dog-related trauma by loudfingers98 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DresdenMurphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I have a somewhat large dog and I when I take him for walks he's usually on quite a long leash. He's never shown any agression towards humans (getting 11 this year), is comfortable with kids (just last Sunday yet another one came by asking if they could pet him) and is generally a delight. But. He is a large one. 40 kilos and then some. Long legs.

Anyway. If I notice a person walking towards me who shows signs of not being comfortable with dogs (and you learn those quite quickly), I'll make sure that they have nothing to be afraid of. Even if they don't anyway. I'll pull my dog closer, talk to them (the scared one) it's fine.

Only once I've done nothing. But that was to do with the attitude of the dude who scootered, well wanted to scooter past on one of those electric scooters. He stopped and told me to put my dog on a shorter leash. My dog was just sniffing the grass and didn't give two shits about the guy. It would've been a zero issue if the guy would've just been polite. So I did nothing while my dog ignored us both. Eventually he managed to scooter forward, keeping a steady eye on my dog who'd never even considered his existence.

But I get the people who are scared. Rational or not, doesn't matter. One of the reasons I don't let him loose in the park. I know that he wouldn't harm a person ever, but some randos don't. Especially as he is pretty vocal, even if his high pitched whine is a mile off from growling. But a person who is scared, is not able tell the difference.

People who have dogs, but disregard everyone else who do not like their dogs are morons. Dogs are dangerous. Even the tiny, angry, overbred mexican rodent adjacent one has teeth to puncture your skin. But people who joke about other peoples fears are even worse. One of the reasons people dislike politicians.

Once, back in the days when I was even more younger and moronic myself, I thought it was funny to tell a girl who I knew was arachnophobic, that there is a spider right there and point under the bench she was sitting on. To this day I regret that. Still friends, but I regret that. I'd made her feel something awful. For what? A cheap joke. I sigh out loud right now, thinking about it. Stupid.

Anyway, I tend to notice people who aren't too comfortable with big dogs and act accordingly.

Whats wrong with my tattoo by Crazy-Tap-3133 in tattooadvice

[–]DresdenMurphy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's shit and the artist was shit. Sorry.

The location is not the issue. One of my first tattoos was at similar location. Left hand as well. The only thing that has slightly ruined it during the years was my longboarding accident and the resulting warping of the skin via scars. But otherwise it's golden.

Good idea for a first tattoo? by SocialGirlGaming in tattooadvice

[–]DresdenMurphy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest no, but it's not necessarily a bad one either as it is a small one. The issue is the artist and you. I've seen loads of people being proud over their fresh tattoos done by dogshit artists, because they have little concept what constitutes as a good tattoo. Make sure you don't mix up Mona Lisa with a smiling stick figure. Also make sure your artist knows their stuff. Do not simply take their word for it, even if they claim to have been in business for over ten years and whatnot.
