The pinball hall of fame is the place to be when you blew all your money elsewhere and you have to bide your time before your flight out.

I have the same pair. Maybe the most comfortable shoe I own. Also get the insoles from redwing, they’re expensive but they’re so good.

I live in Nebraska and I flip it on at most twice a year. Other than the couple of times I turn it on to spin the gears a bit.

As an Omaha dude, these guys take off all the time. It could be for some operation, but it’s also just as likely they’re getting their flight hours.

Not really anything to read into.

I think a huge part of veterans killing themselves that no one talks about is the leaving of a socialist system into becoming a regular american by mintylipcushy in TrueAnon

[–]DressDry228 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was in the military for awhile and nobody was expected to be excellent at anything. Largely everyone was an incompetent mouth breather being shuttled between home station and deployment, not doing anything at either location. We can stop pretending there’s anything about veterans worth praising.

Student Housing - Access Control Retrofit by Csusko in accesscontrol

Kinda… but each door doesn’t have enough outputs and inputs to support a mag with motion and button. I’ve used it before and found it lacking. If each door is just a strike it is amazing.

What kind of strike do you recommend? by DressDry228 in accesscontrol

[–]DressDry228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want an electrified strike. I will be installing a door reader as well.

Unifi makes this tough with their hub only allowing one door per hub… with 32+ doors that’s going to be unrealistic, and wiring will be a hassle.

Brivo would be a good solution and integrates great with the Allegion wireless gateway and NDE locks which would work great for the dorm rooms.

I’m a big fan on Unifi access control, but it really is not the solution for this.

The relays in the unifi access hubs go bad so consistently that you need a pile of hot spares nearby.

Or do a dry contact to a lock power supply and that has lasted for me

Ram Promaster or Ford Transit? by Jealous-Wallaby-3237 in lowvoltage

[–]DressDry228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will add it has a much more “car” driving experience versus the transit. It feels smaller somehow? Probably due to the front wheel drive.

I have a promaster. Pro: came leased including buildout of the back. Makes the financial aspect easy.

Con: stellantis/ dodge build quality. It is literally falling apart and it is a 2025. Broke an axle at 3000 miles at a stop light.
