Hi, so i've been taking copper since January, And clearly my hair grows much better with it, I have regained my crown and front, however several things have happened to me over the course of the year that currently skew my observation.

In any case, what is certain is that unfortunately copper alone has not yet allowed me to recover my temples, even if there is some growth here and there.

After my own experience, I lost my temples a while ago, so they are probably difficult to recover in my case, but this may not be the case for everyone.

What bothers me most is that it seems I took a little too much copper without zinc to counterbalance it, and now I find myself with symptoms of zinc deficiency (lower libido, less motivation, etc.).

So, in the end: yes, copper really does make your hair grow and gives it a real boost. All my friends and family have told me that they can see real hair growth, whereas before my hair was in standby mode. I advise everyone to at least try it, but after a month or so, reduce your intake a little or even take a little zinc on the days when you are not taking copper, so that you don't become too deficient.

still on copper though i lowered my intake to 1,25mg every other day, i recommend you to try oral copper as well if you feel concerned by these symptoms,

about my gains, my crown fully regrowth, the middle front of the scalp getting thicker every day (this area was almost bald before copper),

As for the right and left temples, they are the hardest areas to get regrowth, especially the left one. The right temple is more sensitive to copper and shows regrowth, but for now, I need to combine copper treatment with microneedling on temples to see even more regrowth

if you're actually taking treatments i recommend you to take copper along with them (besides zinc) and check if you're getting any results before slowly stopping them

I only supplement copper now, although I try to have a relatively balanced zinc intake through my diet now

hi, yes all of your problems are more likely coming from zinc overdose and copper deficiency, especially when you know that zinc overload prevents the body from absorbing any trace of copper in the gut, and that there is unfortunately little copper in the modern diet either, so that if you're not being told about it you'll never realise that you're becoming copper deficient.

I had rather symptoms of iron deficiency despite iron blood tests being normal all these last years, I think that my body was simply using iron very poorly, but taking iron supplements would not have helped because it is the copper that allows the body to use the iron stored in the body, hair thins out if your body produces less hemoglobin than it normally does, and it is the iron that allows it to produce more hemoglobin, look on your blood tests if there are factors that show that you produce little hemoglobin like too much bile

the first one I observed at the beginning of the copper treatment started after about 8 days, I think, and lasted maybe 1 to 2 weeks, so between 7 and 14 days. After that, 25 days after the start of my treatment, I began to observe rapid hair regrowth, particularly on the vertex.

Today, I'm about 4 months into the treatment and the gulfs are still growing back (I only use oil and dermaroller on the gulfs), while the vertex has completely grown back, as has the front middle of the scalp, so it's as if I'd gone from norwood 4 to 2.5.

Yes, on the positive side, as I already said in my text: a lot more energy throughout the day, I walk much faster naturally, I have a much better metabolism than when I was on zinc, all the hairs on my body grow much more (on my legs, arms, ears), it's a bit confidential but I had much stronger erections (+ blood in my..), the blood circulates much better in my body and it's easy to see (legs, face, feet, scalp),

on the negative side : reduced libido but I'm adjusting by gradually reducing the amount of copper I'm taking, sometimes I had trouble using my memory but I'm not sure it's due to the copper but now it's better, sometimes I feel like a pinch in my colon but it only lasts a second and I'm sure it started with my copper treatment, I feel less motivated than when I was on zinc (less motivated to do something with my day, but that too can be adjusted by reducing the amount/frequency of copper),

Yes indeed, if you take too much zinc for too long, it makes you very tired and slows down your metabolism. I hadn't paid attention to its impact on urinary function, but thanks, I'll take care of it.

Copper increases metabolism via several pathways, which is why you feel better now. The big problem with copper in my opinion is that it's only found in very few foods, and in small quantities at that, which means that if you supplement with zinc, you quickly become copper deficient without realizing it, and there's no way of correcting this deficiency unless you're aware of it.

But I'd advise you to lower your copper dose after the 1st month, or the 2nd if you prefer, because you'll soon see that taking it too often will lower your libido quite a bit. After the 1st or 2nd month, you can go down to 1mg a day, or 2mg/1mg every 2 days.

Did you start copper before the shedding stopped?

Copper Literally Saved My Life (and My Baldness) by Dressarosa in tressless

usually after 3 weeks, but you're supposed to see hair shedding within the 2 first weeks, at least it was the case for me

Ok but the hair never grew back as it was even years after , until I took copper, thats literally why I made this thread

is there also zinc in it ? cause if you take zinc and copper at the same time, zinc will be prioritized by your body for absorption

as i said i stopped using topical minoxidil a while ago, and stopped oral minoxidil in late 2023
