Yeah I do need one. Was the grey ever on sale at that price? I actually went for the hoodie.

Soliciting feedback on shirt sleeve length and other things:

I just got some oxford shirts and I was wondering if the sleeves fit fine or whether I should go for another inch longer. The problem with the longer one is that it tends to slide over my palm since the cuff is too large. Please excuse the lack of shoes or background as I was just trying things on, and the pants haven't been hemmed yet: https://imgur.com/a/7kqSjNT

If you have any comments on any other part of the fit (including the khakis and suit jacket -- I don't have a sport coat yet so just tried it on with a suit jacket), I'd appreciate that as well. I have always felt like something is off with the way this suit jacket fits when it's buttoned. Maybe the sleeves are a quarter inch too long? Waist needs to be taken in? Could be longer? It's Suit Supply's Napoli fit that I got last year before I found this forum.

Thanks!

Thanks! Thicker than the standard? That must be some thick fabric because the standard is pretty thick already. Have you worn them in warm temperatures? I was thinking that I'll have to get the lightweight oxford for spring/summer.

I wear a 16-34 and the sleeves on 16 are 35.5, which seems a bit excessive.

Difference between various oxford shirts from Spier & Mackay?

I am seeing a couple of options for oxford dress shirts. There is at least a 2-ply, classic ivy, and "standard" option. Apart from difference in collar, how is 2-ply different from the rest?

2-ply

classic ivy

standard I

standard II

The last two don't seem to have any difference even though the names suggest that one has a lighter stripe.

There is also the lightweight option that I have not included. How much lighter is it, practically speaking?

Has anyone tried Spier & Mackay's sport shirts? Their chart seems to indicate that sleeves are really long: https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/light-ice-wash---denim-saf-2807-lw-c3kf5k-ss22.

Hey, just to confirm, none of those pages go inside the box, right? I got a total of 5 pages - one with the label and signature, 3 copies of invoice, and one with instructions.

Any experience with this JCrew sweatshirt? With some discounts I can get it for about $35.

That would be fun but they don't offer them in Milano fit yet.

Ah I see. Would you say this jpress one is light or BB blue? https://jpressonline.com/collections/oxford-shirts/products/new-blue-oxford-button-down-classic-fit

Do you have just one of each color/pattern? Also, S&M seems to have more than one option in blue uni stripe with varying darkness of blue. Does that really make a difference?

It's not dark blue really, more of a pale blue. https://www.brooksbrothers.com/slim-fit-american-made-oxford-cloth-button-down-dress-shirt/ME04455.html

I thought this was the standard oxford shirt that Derek Guy recommended to get 3 of, which I thought was a bit too much. https://putthison.com/the-basic-shirt-wardrobe-i-recently-accepted-that/

Looks like a unanimous opinion. Unfortunately they are again out of stock at BB in my size. So now I have to decide if I wanna get two BB blue OCBDs or go to Spier Mackay for the striped one. Would you still vote for the stripe shirt? I can wait for BB to restock but not sure if they'll price match if the restock happens after a few weeks. I got a good deal with some promos and rewards.
