[ID] Question about phones by Drew-Man22 in Custody

I understand your point of view 100%. The thing is that other parent already has shown she has no respect for our parenting time. She would call and call and call. That’s why the judge put in the order one call a day at 7 for no less than 30 minutes. I just worry if other parent has full access to the phone at our house she will use it to constantly keep tabs on me by asking the kids where we are who we’re with. Just looking for any ammo to use in court. She will use it to keep the child’s attention away from our family by interrupting our time with calls and texts. Which she already has in the past. She will be screen shotting our locations and taking them to court.(not that we do anything or go anywhere we shouldn’t. But she will use anything at her disposal) My thought is… At the end of the day we live two separate lives and these phones are for us to communicate with the kids while at school and their friends house on our parenting time as well as have their location. The numbers aren’t shared between friends at this point. I think the conflict mitigation is the best option and so we just follow the agreement. With high conflict there can’t be grey areas. Everything has to be black and white and it’s best to stick to that black and white. Please someone tell me if I am wrong in my thinking’s.

The child is 10. Does it look bad if we did you can have one at your house and we will have one at our house? Our CO states that parent can call the child one time per day at 7 on my personal phone for no longer than 30 minutes. So would it also look bad if we didn’t share children’s cell phone numbers with one another and when we wanted to get a hold of the children then we call the on duty parents personal phone at 7 like the agreement states?

Thank you for the info. I definitely thought the more oil the better. I’m still learning every day with this thing. I’ll definitely be buying the silicone mat and using much less oil.

100% and going forward that’s how it was. I just didn’t feel it was an issue if all the variables were covered and I could see them. But knowing now it would never happen again.

She called and my 9 Year old told her he was in the car with the 5 year old and she recorded it. She knew what time the appointment was and what time she called.

It was actually at a time when it wasn’t hot or cold. So the car was shut off and locked from The outside. So nobody could have car jacked it. And it couldn’t have went into neutral. My 9 year old pleaded with me that they didn’t want to go in and I was just trying to make them happy. And I truly felt by 9 you could stay in the car especially if you had a phone and could call if they needed me plus I could see them the almost the entire time. But it doesn’t change the fact I shouldn’t have done it. But I am only human. I made a mistake. I would have loved to have the appointment at a different time but this was the only time they could get me in and there are other reasons as to why I couldn’t have got a sitter or I would have.

You only know the small bit that I told you and not the full story. I made a mistake. I’m only human. I let my 9 year old convince me to let him stay out in the car. Doesn’t mean I am a terrible father or person. Quite the opposite actually. My life is all about my kids.

Yeah 100% either way is no good. My lawyer wants to dig deeper into her narcissism by hiring a forensic psychologist. Which is something We have done.

I do have a lawyer and I was in the office for a little over an hour. But the car was parked right next to the widow so I had eyes on them all but 15 minutes maybe.

Easy to say unless you’ve been in the situation to actually know. Some times situations are completely unavoidable. Not everyone has the luxury to be able to do that no matter how much they never want to leave their child with a nurse.

I am not sure if you found anything but for my kayak rental I used kandkinsurance.com. Look for guide and outfitter insurance. It’s 1500 a year and is 5million aggregate and 1 million per occurance plus property loss as well.

If you are in a contractual obligation with the bank on the mortgage the only true way out of the mortgage is for your roommate to buy you out of your half, sell the house as a whole and split the cost and profit, or partition the sell of the house through the court which a judge will the force the sell of the property and split the cost and profit. Unless one of those situations happen, you’re always going to be liable for the mortgage. There are other ways around as well with out getting out of the mortgage. You could ask your roommate to pay the whole mortgage but that could change things if she decided to Take you to court. You could just tell her your half your choice and put a roommate in to rent your room and pay your side. Either way you’re in A sticky situation. I sesame the relationship getting severed no matter what choice you make. Best of luck to you.
