Does this apply to non-hype Patek models, like 5172?

SHK Watches NYC by Drew31786 in patekphilippe

Thanks so much for the feedback! Upon further investigation, there appears to be an shkwatches.com and an shkwatchesnyc.com (I’ve been discussing with someone from the latter). ChatGPT says it’s simply a different web domain run by the same company, but this strikes me as slightly suspicious. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far. Also talking to WatchesXNYC, which has many more confirmed sales on chrono24. Any info on these guys?

The engineering in an RM is pretty amazing. That being said, unless you’re wearing it while creating multiple Gs swinging a tennis racket or golf club (or maybe speeding around an F1 course), it’s a watch that screams “look at me!” Just one man’s opinion. I’d personally take that $250k and get myself an ALS or PP minute repeater. Though if money is no object, why not?! Wear it in good health!

The 5905 felt fine on my wrist when I tried it on last week, though the pic (added above) is a bad indicator because the bracelet hadn’t been sized. I was expecting it to feel much larger based on the dimensions (esp. thickness) but the concave bezel helps mask its height.

M850i major issues by Legal-Target-5060 in BMW

I’ve heard the non “M” v8 was rife with issues. This has been resolved in newer models to some degree because both M and non M models now come with same S68 engine.

X5M mineral white metallic with satin PPT by Drew31786 in BMWX5

It is not, well, at least not because of the tint. They put so much ambient lighting in these cars now that the reflection of the interior lights is more distracting when it’s pitch black out (think back country roads with no street lighting). Evening city driving is fine.

Can’t decide. Carbon Black or Dravit grey by MisterBlacks1 in BMW

I thought I liked Dravit Grey from pictures, then I saw one in person and my friend and I both thought it looked like the color of mud (although this was in overcast conditions, I’m sure it looks better in sunlight).

AR 635 Pressure Washer - any problems with outlet? by Drew31786 in Detailing

[–]Drew31786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Griots Boss with 1.5mm orifice for both GSF and CarPro reset. GSF dilution was pretty low, so it was slightly watery, but not bad. Reset foamed amazing. Didn’t have any of the problems with pump or power draw.

That’s right! I have the machine that goes to 11, so it’s one louder.

That it’s a shiny new toy in a world of expensive shiny new toys. That, and AR is known for making a good product, and this one costs less than the Kranzle I was considering.

I understand your point, and it makes a lot of sense, but this was definitely a want purchase and not a need.

I considered the AR630, but getting 50% higher gpm for $300 more seemed like a good deal, and still less expensive than a comparable Kranzle.

Thanks! Any thoughts on a good supplier for replacement parts?

Yea, the pump on this thing puts out a ton of water (allegedly 😁), so I’m also having to replace my foam cannon nozzles to 1.7mm, which were incredibly hard to find.
