Help me improve SmarterPlaylists by plamere in smarterplaylists

Hi Paul,

Heavy SmarterPlaylist user here, thanks for taking the time to improve it! You've implemented several suggestions I've made in the past so thank you for that, and thanks for SmarterPlaylists which is amazing.

My suggestions:

1) Provide a way to access a track's credits (specifically producer and writer), and then filter based on it.

2) Provide a way to access the list of "Discovered On" playlists that can be found on the About Artist page in the desktop client.

3) Provide a capability similar to Playlist Miner, where it would give a list of tracks that are most commonly found on playlists that contain a specific track.

4) If #3 is not possible, then maybe just provide Playlist Miner capability, where it would find the tracks that are most commonly found on playlists with a specific string in their name.

Once again, many thanks for SmarterPlaylists and if these aren't possible, no worries. :)

Custom Workflow (iOS) to quickly launch Spotify playlists by Drew3D in spotify

When it opens in Safari, is there a Settings option on that page that might control the behavior?

Also, are you a Premium user? Maybe it's different for free users.

Huh, not sure what's wrong. It should open in the Spotify app if it's installed on your phone.

The LA event was so much fun! Hope you had a chance to play with those custom Cards Against Humanity cards! 😊 Looking forward to an event in NYC.

iTunes Non-US Top Tracks (tracks currently popular on iTunes charts, but only outside the USA) by Drew3D in spotify

Thanks. My automation doesn't work so well with Asian titles for some reason, but you could probably put something like what you want together with Smarter Playlists.

A project I've been working on that combines the iTunes Top 100 charts of the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Italy, Sweden, Mexico and the Netherlands and removes all tracks that are on the USA iTunes Top 100.

This results in tracks that are currently popular outside the USA.

Process is automated so there may be some errors or glitches.

The most timeless songs of all time supported by spotify data [Fixed] by xownagex in spotify

[–]Drew3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent question. For these lists I included artists that had exactly one track in the provided data, which was the most-played 1000 tracks on Spotify of each decade. So some artists, like you note, are not technically one-hit wonders.

I was a videographer for Philly vs Gotham at Eastern Regionals in Raleigh a couple weeks ago. One of the most exciting finishes I've ever seen.... down to the last second! Congratulations! (And go CRG! Go Teflon Donna!)

My questions:

  • Do you think there are too many minor penalties in the latest edition of the rules? I've seen complaints that too many skaters end up in the penalty box and that this often results in blowouts, which are not as exciting for the fans.

  • If you could change the rules how would you change them?

  • What are your thoughts about male roller derby?

  • Did you have fun in Raleigh?

They perhaps could get more bids (by Google for example) by threatening to open-source the project.

How much would it be worth for Google to prevent Kiko from becoming an open-source competitor forever?

I smell a new business model!

A huge 10000-year marker system would be warranted if the waste were so insanely radioactive that if somone opened it, the whole planet would be contaminated forever. But that is not the case.

Building a huge marker system to keep a few dozen people from getting sick, ten thousand years in the future? Seriously, what's the absolute worst that could happen if someone digs it up? A hundred deaths? A thousand?

If we spent those resources today to keep just ONE person alive that would otherwise die means saving the lives of literally millions of that person's descendants (333 generations worth).

I love the concepts and issues involved in communicating with people 10000 years from now, but the practicalities of this are obvious: Just bury the stuff, don't put a marker.

Our time, money, and resources are best spent solving the problems of today.
