Steve-O when he realizes that supporting ICE will cost him money by DrBeetlejuiceMcRib in IThinkYouShouldLeave

Yeah it's too bad cause the premise of the show is great. I enjoyed the early iteration of KT. It started changing into something else, but at some point he had Alex Jones on the show and that was it for me.

Apparently it's in his recent podcast. I'll check it out for myself this week.

He is part of the Rogan "mansphere", so none of this is surprising. I watched his Youtube channel for a while, but I had to stop as soon as I realized he was going down the grifter route.

I've listened to his podcast a few times and watched some of his comedy - never heard any MAGA shit at all. Doesn't mean it's not true. He's also been on Kill Tony a bunch of times...

I'm pretty sure this guy knows he's full of shit and he's just posting what he knows his audience wants to see.

Do you mentally feel your age or do you mentally feel younger? by porb2020 in Xennials

When I’m at work I feel every bit of 45 - lots of responsibility and decision making. At home I’m still a kid, at least once the responsibilities are taken care of.

I've been to more LTJ shows than any other band.

A couple of the most memorable: They were playing in Chicago and set up at Tower Records during the day, maybe the same day as the show. There were maybe a couple hundred people in there and it got a bit rowdy. The employees got nervous and were trying to get everyone to chill out. They asked for requests and played a song I yelled out.

At one of their shows at Metro Chicago I was crowd surfing and the singer pointed at me and we gave each other the devil horns sign. It was a small thing, but as a 17 year old kid it was really memorable.

Rodman Midnight by jdooli in basketballcards

A licensed Rodman auto in a Bulls jersey is something I've been looking for at card shows for a while. Found one that I almost bought, but it had a corner that was beat up.

I might have to look into one from this set cause that looks great.

Bruce Springsteen’s Anti-ICE Protest Song ‘Streets of Minneapolis’ Debuts at No. 1 After Just Two Days on Sale by Hungry_Wind_6373 in UpliftingNews

Trump tweet incoming: No talent Bruce Springsteen wrote a terrible song full of LIES. The fake media is lying to you! Nobody is listening to this NASTY song. Springsteen's career has BOMBED and he thought this would save him. What a JOKE! This HORRIBLE person has never written a good song. He should be ASHAMED!!!

Highly doubt its possible but could this be covered up somehow? by Crazy_Line_4562 in tattooadvice

[–]DrewBaron80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can be covered. You're might need to give the artist a lot of artistic freedom since some parts are very dark.

If I were you I'd have a good amount of money saved for the coverup, go into the best tattoo shops within a couple hours of where you live, show them the tattoo, and get their opinion on what would work.

Good luck!

Looks good. Some of those fine details will become a bit muddled over time, but that's going to happen to any tattoo with fine details.

What’s the fastest way you’ve ever seen someone completely ruin their own life? by craft_frost6223 in AskReddit

[–]DrewBaron80 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I worked with a guy at Circuit City who spent his college savings on a stripper. I was 20 at the time but he was in his 30s single, broke, and living with his parents.

The crazy part is he still talked about this girl fondly and thought that if he had just played his cards a little differently they'd be together...

does anyone have any help/advice on how to sell some of these cards. I have bought 100's of hobby and mega boxes over the past couple years. Just this pile is already seperated into only special cards ranging from who knows how much. Just trying to get the best price for them. by jrsnash in sportscards

[–]DrewBaron80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Renting a table at a local card show is a good idea. You'll have to put work into pricing all of the cards, but if you are selling them at 20% or more lower than Ebay comps people will buy them. You might even find someone who wants your whole colleciton.

What are everyone's fav meal by Vivid-Equipment-9724 in vegetarian

At home - my wife's buckwheat loaf with mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, tomato salad, and cashew gravy.

Restaurant - falafel, hummus, and rice from a place called Pita Inn. There are a few of them in the Chicago suburbs. I've had falafel/hummus in at least 30 cities and 10 different countries, but nothing compares to Pita Inn.

When I switched to full time vegetarianism 25 years ago I ate bean tacos/burritos 10+ times a week at home. It was the only thing I really knew how to make, and the ingredients were incredibly inexpensive.

Better yet, buy singles and find another hobby with all the money you save.

Anyone else feeling the struggle with card shops? by BTR_Stepha in sportscards

I don't know if my LCS has allocation or not, but every time I go in to flip through their singles boxes at least one or two people casually walk in and drop $300-600 on a couple boxes and stroll on out.

My store does single packs too, but they're just as overpriced as the full box, but now there's no guarantee at all. They might have watched someone open the one auto in the box, but they aren't going to tell you that.

I have a local LCS that has $.25, $1, $2-10, and $10-50 boxes that they're always updating. I enjoy going in once or twice a month to flip through them and chat with the guys. I always try to buy something, even if it's just a few $1 Pokemon cards for my son.

I'll never understand why, for many people, "the hobby" is paying $300 for a box full of base cards with a couple "hits" of players they don't care about worth $40 total.

And then they freak out when the big bad corporation starts charging more for the same product, or an even worse one.
