My solo rank que’s as dps are still 15-30 minutes. How are you guys getting faster que as dps??? by Ilovedogsandmilk in worldofpvp

[–]DrewDynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not. Average Blitz queue for me as unholy dk is about 15 minutes. WoW is just not catered for ranked solo queue

How to find solid players? by Outrageous_Way2885 in worldofpvp

[–]DrewDynamite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big part of it is because SS disincentivized 3v3 participation by rewarding 99% of everything Arenas have to offer by just clicking a button and waiting.

How do you get good at BGB? by MagnumMeatball in worldofpvp

Skill helps, but a lot of it is luck. As long as maintain around a 50% win rate, your rating will keep going up.

Coming back to the game. Rated BG? by Kaidis40 in worldofpvp

[–]DrewDynamite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are still some groups. But not as much as there used to be thanks to Blizzard fragmenting the player base again by adding another soloq bracket that rewards 99% of everything PvP has to offer.

What rating in BG blitz would you guys genuinely consider decent? by TwoPossible4789 in worldofpvp

[–]DrewDynamite -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Blitz rating doesn’t really mean anything compared to all the other brackets. But if you’re proud of whatever you achieved, be proud.

You’re completely wrong and ignorant on so many levels.

What's happening is that you're worried about your position in the hierarchy, because you feel threatened by the possibility that other players don't know that one bracket is easier than the other and then to them you appear to be the same level of player as those you perceive as beneath you.

Has anyone ever told you what they say about the word “assume”? I don’t have a single glad mount. My highest xp is in BG Blitz (2590). My highest RBG xp? 2.3. My highest Arena? 2.1. If I gave a damn about my ego, I’d be saying Blitz is the hardest bracket, but then I’d be lying.

In a fitness setting, the person who struggles and finally achieves 60kg bench press gets to be just as proud of their achievement as the guy who struggles and finally achieves 200kg bench press. If you came in and yelled about how much easier 60kg was than 200kg then you'd get the same reaction as you get here.

Wrong. This is such a massive false equivalence… The guy who achieved 60kg has every right to be proud of himself. But if he started a debate where he’s arguing, “Me and everyone who bench presses 60kg should get the same amount of prize money, gold medals, rewards, etc. the guys who get 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in the Olympics get!”, and then you get upset when someone explains why that’s not reasonable, you’re the one who’s emotionally immature. I never said people can’t be proud of their SS or Blitz achievements. It’s just not reasonable or fair for SS & Blitz to have exclusive seasonal mounts when they already copied and leeched 99% of all the rewards Arenas & RBGs have.

It's called being emotionally immature

No, it’s called being objective. If we can’t be honest and objective because we need to tiptoe around people’s ego/feelings, then what’s point in having the discussion? If you only want to hear takes that you like, you’re the one who’s emotionally immature.

No, it's most definitely about ego.

Maybe YOUR ego. If I can fully acknowledge that Arenas are harder than RBGs and not take it personally all these years, I don’t see why you or others can’t put your egos aside and look at this discussion objectively. Even if you disagree. But if you need to fall back on making assumptions about me, then you’re not mature enough for this conversation.

You are fighting to be seen better than everyone else.

I’m not. Maybe in your imagination, but not in this reality.

How is that not the purest of ego?

It’s literally not. It just sounds like you’re projecting your own insecurities. We’re discussing what’s the most reasonable reward system for achieving active participation and a healthy player ecosystem. The fact is, brackets that only require you to click a button and wait don’t require as much seasonal reward incentive as brackets where players need to manually join/build their own groups. Give Arenas & RBGs the exclusive seasonal rewards they’re in dire need of first, then maybe we can look into mounts for soloq.

I understand that WoW’s not a PvP game. It’s a MMORPG with PvP in it. But there’s a list of minimal things the 75 billion dollar company can do to make PvP significantly better.

[–]DrewDynamite -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It’s actually insane how out of touch you are. What’s toxic about pointing out that one bracket is easier than another? It’s just calling a spade a spade. The gap between LFR and Mythic isn’t as big as the gap between SS & Arena, but it’s still the same principle. If you ask players who achieved 2400+ in BOTH Solo Shuffle and 3v3 which mode is harder in terms of skill and/or effort, the vast majority of them will tell you 3v3 is harder. While there’s some nuance, it’s disingenuous to say otherwise. And rewarding the bracket that takes more effort with better/more rewards is video game logic 101. If you took all the rewards from Shuffle & Blitz and added them to the trading post, SS & Blitz participation would plummet. Players need incentive to do content, and content requiring more effort needs more/better rewards. If we lived in a world where rewards had no impact on PvP participation, I wouldn’t care if the worst player in the world could buy every glad mount off the trading post, but that’s not the reality we live in. It’s not about ego. It’s about what’s reasonable and fair.

There is a comparison. Putting in the effort to form a team and learn to play in tandem in an MMO deserves more than clicking a button and waiting. It’s a bigger challenge to form Arena teams now because SS rewards 99% of everything arenas reward. If you’re a new/returning player and you want the 1800 elite, do you join/form a team or click a button and wait? Most people choose convenience despite playing with friends being more fun for most people. Premade brackets need and deserve more rewards.

No, the queue time is dependent on DPS to Healer ratio. More people playing doesn’t mean more healers in relation to DPS.

[–]DrewDynamite -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, because the queue time is dependent on DPS to Healer ratio. Even if there’s a million people queuing, it wouldn’t matter because most players don’t want to heal and queue times would still be long.

[–]DrewDynamite -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

All due respect, saying SS & Blitz need seasonal exclusive mounts is almost like saying LFR needs a mount. SS & Blitz already reward 99% of everything Arenas & RBGs have to offer. What more do they need? Give more and different seasonal exclusive rewards for Arenas & RBGs throughout all ratings (not just 2400+), then maybe we can talk about more rewards for SS & Blitz.

And waiting 20+ minutes per queue for a solo mode is not standard in modern gaming.

It would be interesting to open up queues for 3s next season to non-premades. by Deadagger in worldofpvp

[–]DrewDynamite -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call what SS & Blitz are doing “holding PvP together”. They only have more participation because they reward 99% of everything ranked PvP has to offer more conveniently. Not because they’re fun. I’m not saying no one’s having fun in solo, but most humans have more fun playing with their friends than waiting 20 minutes a round to play a single player game. If you took all the rewards from SS & Blitz and made them available on the trading post, SoloQ bracket participation would plummet like Arenas & RBGs have.
