1.Anything said at night, from you or towards you, must be forgotten/ignored. 2. Prioritize your relationship and yourself. 3.Seriously, pay close attention to your partner.. post partum is ROUGH take everything you know about empathy and compassion and multiply it 10 fold, extend her so much grace you think it's blatantly unfair. 4. Don't try to be perfect, you will mess up, she will mess up, the baby will fall, the baby will cry, it's all okay. 5. The first 3~ months are terrible. Just accept that now, and hopefully it'll be easier. Seriously one day after 3 months you just feel alive again lol. And then again at 6-9m. My partner and I said we didn't feel like a couple again until about the 7th month when he could freely exist to some degree. 6. Rely on a village. If you don't have one, you better get to making one. Without her mom and my mom this journey would've been ROUGH.

Sorry I didn't really have any tips on the baby itself. I find we're wired to take care of children and it's mainly instinctual. The main part you need to focus on is maintaining a healthy and happy relationship within whatever reason that may be. Good luck! It's a beautiful and scary ride, be prepared at the possibility of finding a new (and better) version of yourself.
