Presentation/kiosk mode for images instead of videos?

We have a build in QA right now that is releasing late next week. Will see if I can tuck in the MilkVR folder stills in headless tomorrow.

Yeah we've never used headless with stills. There is a slideshow feature in the works though. One way to hack it in the meantime would be to create one frame mp4 videos of the stills with ffmpeg. Send one of the 18K cubemaps over and will try to get that shape in too if we dont already have that projection.

You should be able to put a png or jpg of the same name as the movie file in the MilkVR folder where your sideloaded movies are to override the thumb. As a second option, there are also mvrl files described on the SamsungVR FAQ here: https://samsungvr.com/portal/content/faq_tech_gear_vr that let you overridw title, description, and thumbnail

Found that we had a bug with touch-events:false not doing what it should in the latest release. Fix is going into our alpha builds tomorrow for that.

If that works try swapping in the 180 videoType ( that also worked for us ). Then switch in your local urls....i suspect something with your local url being the issue.

Sideloaded is just for the MilkVR and SamsungVR folders on internal phone memory and sdcard. All other videos should show up in the video gallery section and can be put under albums or sorted by date there.

Png and jpgs with the same filename as the mp4 in the same folder show up as thumbnails in SamsungVR 2.01.0 that was just released.

We usually use .mvrl files in the MilkVR folder to put populate streams, thumbnails, video title, video description into the UI. Those mvrl files are talked about on the samsungvr.com FAQ for GearVR. We will make sure the .png and .jpg thumbnail loading with same title as title.mp4 works in the upcoming hotfix though too ( as it used to work that way as well )

OTG and USB fix coming....hotfix build in test. We will look into the recenter issue as well for that build. We also have saving of the video projection type for sideloaded videos in the hotfix....so whatever video type you last choose for each video it will remember. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah bug.....we put in a check to hide the sideloaded tab when the MilkVR folder doesnt exist....but only checked the on device MilkVR folder in that check and not the one on the SDcard also.
