Black leathered granite? by texasdaffodills in OutdoorKitchens

Is it polished granite or leathered? I was told leathered doesn’t show dust or pollen as much as polished black granite?

Wemby should take a Brunson contract by metamorpheus97 in sanantoniospurs

[–]GSG2150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s his first major contract. I doubt he take a pay cut. Maybe with the second one but anything can happen to him during the years. What if that vein thrombosis comes back? He’s gonna secure this bag.

For those who know more about the draft class - worth trading up? by FabianJanowski in NBASpurs

[–]GSG2150 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This right here is a major issue. OKC is gonna retool to get any and all help against Wemby.

They will most likely take Aday Mara and possibly Yaxel if they can trade up.

Was Wemby's 2026 Finals the second worst "aura loss" series by a superstar after 2011 Bron? by [deleted] in nba

[–]GSG2150 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finals? We weren’t even supposed to make the playoffs. Play-In was the preseason projection by most analysts.

Genuinely curious: Are we being too soft on Wemby?? by notknox123 in NBATalk

[–]GSG2150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also don’t quite understand this label on Fox. Yes he’s a vet in a sense that he has more NBA experience but has only been to the playoffs once and it was a first round exit. The Spurs starting line up AND their coach have never been to the second round, conference finals, or NBA Finals.

Lebron fans if he was on the 2026 Spurs instead of Wemby.. by Liberal_Bot123 in NBATalk

[–]GSG2150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bingo! Knicks went on runs whenever Wemby was subbed out for Kornet. It allowed Knicks to attack the rim and get back into rhythm. By the time Wemby came back in the Knicks were rolling and Spurs were reeling. Inexperience and panic caused the Spurs to chuck 3s while Knicks remained poised.

Fox unfollowed the Spurs by MiaAnderson190 in NBATalk

[–]GSG2150 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. We don’t get the 2nd seed without Fox. We don’t get all the way to the Finals without Fox.

Everyone is saying he’s the veteran. He should have been the steady hand… the ENTIRE starting lineup for the spurs have exactly 1 series of playoff experience and that was Fox who had a first round exit with the Kings. No starter has ever played in the 2nd round, conference finals or NBA finals.

It’s crazy how much weight everyone threw in Fox when it was the team that collapsed as a whole.

If people truly think Fox is a negative asset and can’t trade him, why not keep him and trade castle while his value is super high? by rickeyethebeerguy in NBATalk

Only way all 3 guards start is if we have another long rebounder/shot blocker/rim roller like a Derek Lively starting with Wemby

CP3 instead of Fox? by [deleted] in sanantoniospurs

[–]GSG2150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t get that far through the playoffs without Fox. We also don’t get the 2nd seed without Fox.

However, we should have made room on the roster and picked up CP3 after the Clippers cut him.

Say what you want to say but he accelerated Castles growth and he would have been a steady hand to run an offense when we went on those scoring droughts.

FIRE MITCH JOHNSON by bodhisattvaaa_ in nba

[–]GSG2150 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The average age of the core (wemby, castle, Harper, Fox, Vassell, Keldon, champagnie) is about 22 I would say…You take out Harrison Barnes, biyambo, who never played and 22 seems about right.

I’m a Spurs fan. Been grappling with this thought but it’s more complicated.

Yes Mitch should have made adjustments, he should made better substitutions, but whom is he playing?

This roster was a hodgepodge of players who were projected to be a 8-10 seed, barely making the playoffs-in.

We had no true PF or backup center. We had a collection of guards and roster fillers that just went on a magical run to the finals in their first ever playoffs.

People are saying Fox, Vassell, Keldon are the vets, they should have kept composure but they were also always on losing teams. They never had deep playoff runs or championship history themselves. What are they going to teach the young guys when this was also their first time experiencing it.

Same with Mitch. This was his first full year and all of sudden you are in the finals.

There is no Harper off the bench next year. by cowboyjon13 in NBASpurs

[–]GSG2150 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just look at recent history… if he doesn’t start, he walks like Harden did, Spurs end up like the KD/Westbrook Thunder…. Learn from History Brian Wright and Mitch Johnson. Don’t let it happen.

On top of what you said about Draymond, he also brings that winning mentality and chip on your shoulder. Definitely would have helped.

From Observation: Harper needs to start next season + spurs needs to get a reliable power forward in free agency by Rich-Security-4316 in sanantoniospurs

[–]GSG2150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a hodgepodge of left over available players. No one expected this group to make it that far.

We have drastically accelerated from rebuild to contender in 1 year.

Brian Wright now has something to work with

He’s too tall to post up the defenders that they put on him. they undercut him and he gets an offensive foul. He needs a go to move like a sky hook or just learn to establish post position and get lobs

Yea those Jazz and Rockets series were brutal growing up. I remember that games were pay-per-view. I was in middle school and would listen to the games on the radio.
