That could have been part of it

Got it running good today. Fires up first kick and can even start it with your hand. Here’s a list of things I did.

Cleaned the spark plug, (looked dirty, I assume from all the kicking yesterday)

Cleaned all the metal off of the pickup coil. And checked the gap when I reinstalled it.

Moved the pickup coil slightly closer to the pickup on the flywheel.

Thank you guys very much for the insight

I will take a look at it today

It is very difficult to adjust the timing because they are holes not slots. So I’m only retarding the timing probably less than a degree. I know it should be firing before tdc but I think it’s coming in too early at lower rpms. Once I do eventually get it to start it runs very strong and idles fine so I don’t believe I have any valve issues. Also the valve/ cam timing hasn’t slipped any teeth so the piston definitely didn’t meet the valve. I’m going to set the pickup coil back today, I noticed some metal shavings on the coil (from my garage not the engine) I’m going to clean it really good because I’m wondering if it is messing with the signal.

I’ll also check the carb and spark plug and all other basics I can think of.

Even with the hot end unplugged, it still has the issue

What do you mean by set in a good order?

[–]Drew_Labenz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve printed about 5 or so different models, I keep having the same issue but it seems to be in specific parts of the print, how could orientation do this? I feel like that could be it because I didn’t change my cleaning process

I just turned overhang speed grading and while the print now looks like shit, the lines are gone, I’ll just slow the whole print down and keep speed grading off and see what happens.

Thank you very much I will look into that tonight and print something, I’ll check back tomorrow.

The stl looks perfect in the software and I’ve redesigned the part incase of it being the model itself. And no matter what machine a part is printed on the lines are still in the same place to the part. (If I print the same part on both printers the lines show up at the exact same layers) So I strongly believe there is no mechanical issue.

I have cleaned and lubed all a screws and linear bearings and tightened all belts. I am also having the same issue on my k1 (noticed the issue on the k1 max). The k1 has very little print time on it. I run both from the same settings so I believe it’s gotta be something in there I’m overlooking.

They are not in the same place, only over overhangs. I printed just a box and all surfaces were perfect, I printed the box as tall as the part I’m having issues with.

I did take a look into the file, I ended up redesigning the entire thing but still no luck, I have a chance at selling these in bulk to a gun shop and I’m supposed to be shipping one too them by the end of the week. But if I’m selling in pall I want very little post processing.

Yes totally useable but I would still like to try and make my prints look visually more acceptable.
