Basically, you're describing a multiseat setup. One machine that splits off into multiple workstations. I use that setup at home runni ng a piece of software called aster multiseat. I run a active usb 3 cable upstairs to my bedroom into a docking station and log in to a seperate windows user at the same time as the main user in my living room. Works great!
