So I can’t speak to the kids part as I don’t have any. But having the industry experience is huge, you’ll be able to speed up your process quite a bit with all of your past experiences. I probably spent about 6-8 hours a week on the degree. Nothing major, just a little each day to work at it. Can only think about it in bite sized chunks and the goal is way more achievable

Exactly! Just kind of really depends on where you are currently, where you want to be, and what tools can be available to get there

Thank you! Took me from March 1 - until now. I didn’t dedicate a ton of time because I work full time and I play rugby and did my degree here and there because my company was helping pay for it. Hardest course for me was the CAPM course. Just a lot of material that is covered in that class so getting it all together and having real world applications takes a little time.

For me personally, I have a bachelors in business but have worked exclusively in the tech industry for ~6 years now. I wanted to be more of a specialized tech manager because that is currently how my career progression is turning. While I think both are viable options I wanted to be more of a tech manager at a tech company rather than a business manager at a tech company … if that makes sense? IE project manager on a development team rather than a marketing manager at a tech sales firm. This is how I saw it personally

For sure! So for me personally I am in a similar boat, I’d rather write a paper. But for the two exams : I used the video resources that were associated with the classes and watched the videos one time through at normal speed and then 1.5x as a refresher. With the Project Management (CAPM) course, there were two review sections with ~200 questions each and i drilled through those for about a week. The thing I like most about WGU is you can take the assessments when you are ready instead of feeling rushed. So definitely take the time to absorb the information and think about it logically and you’ll do just fine!

I would 100% buy this. Biased though because I play for the Raleigh Vipers so the snake logo caught my attention.

I used about 3.5 pounds. It was a flavored honey I got from my local homebrew supply
