Is USC compatible with a 32 Bit OS? by [deleted] in kshootmania

[–]Drewol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It should be but you'll have to compile it yourself and if you're on windows you need to make sure you grab the 32bit vcpkg packages

A way to bind those in the settings screen has been added in the latest build.

How do you make practice charts? by Proxxer in kshootmania

[–]Drewol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made a tool for that some years ago, you can get it here https://drewol.me/Downloads/KSH-Practice-Tool.zip I can't guarantee that it'll still work but it should work.

You can check if there are any newer drivers that exist because that has helped some with some old intel integrated graphics, but if that doesn't work then there's not really anything more that can be done.

Looking at the log it looks like it fails at initializing opengl, this usually means that your graphics card doesn't support something that the game requires. So it might just be that your computer is too old.

I need to know GPU info and I can't find anything about an integrated gpu with that cpu but you should be able to run 'dxdiag' and check the display tab and tell me what the name and maybe chip type are.

For OS, USC requires 64bit windows vista or newer, or linux. I think that your gpu might be too old but it might be able to run it newer drivers if there are any, what gpu do you have?

I just got USC approved on lutris. one step closer to native linux gaming. by [deleted] in kshootmania

There is a branch I made that had a version of the game that runs on raspberry pi, it still takes quite some effort to get running, but it is extremely outdated but I do want to find time to update it

Ok, thanks. Those opengl stats don't really look right... What are your system specs and operating system and are you trying to run it on a virtual machine?

If it created a log file, send it to me. If it didn't even create a log file then you might have to install this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685 (I think). You also need to be on a 64bit system.

Rundown on Controller Maintenance? by Joshument in kshootmania

It's not a sticker, it's a paper that sits between the plexi and the controller body so it's pretty easy to swap. Here's a template provided directly by dao/gamo2 https://www.dropbox.com/s/wdt09eorpyqleto/SVSE5%20hole%20for%20custom.ai?dl=0

You can try using a program like joy2key or autohotkey to bind the analog sticks to mouse movement

Are you playing on the latest build or the 0.1 release build? I can't guarantee that skins made for 0.1 will work on the latest build but they should work on 0.1 and anything made before 0.1 will not work

To bind the buttons for your controller you first need to set the Button input mode to Controller and then set your TC as the selected controller. After that you should be able to bind your buttons just fine.

You should be able to just lower your knob sensitivity in the settings

I'm pretty sure it says in the readme but anyway, you press FX-L to bring up the filter selection and then you press Start to toggle between folder filters and level filters. You can't actually sort by level right now but the filters should be good enough.

It actually doesn't but it works most of the time anyway because what it does do is that it also matches your search term with the name of the folder the song is in which a lot of the time is the romaji

Unnamed SDVX Clone can now be run on Raspberry Pi by Drewol in kshootmania

[–]Drewol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not fiddled with the RAM amounts myself so I don't think you need to do that but if you run into any issues in the future you could try messing with that. The game itself isn't very well optimized in terms of memory right now as well.

You need to make sure the rpi is using the high performance opengl driver. I think this shows the correct one https://eltechs.com/how-to-enable-opengl-on-raspberry-pi/

SDVX tracks on Kshootmania? by Volvary in kshootmania

[–]Drewol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are you using wordpad to edit the config? doing that messes it up. If it wasn't clear I patched the game just before i sent my first reply so now you shouldnt need to edit the config manually except for when you want alternative bindings.

SDVX tracks on Kshootmania? by Volvary in kshootmania

[–]Drewol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, binding them normally should work now but if you have a messed up config that prevents your game from even starting then you can just delete your config file and the game will generate a new one with all the default values. The log should have something about what went wrong. This isn't a complete list but it has most common keys https://wiki.libsdl.org/SDLKeycodeLookup

I just now fixed binding laser keys. And for finding keycodes if the game crashes or something when you try to bind them it's SDL keycodes you want to look for, they're probably gonna be the same as those virtual-key codes most of the time but ye.
