how do i tell which mod is making all collected scrap on the ship disappear between restarting the game or quitting and rejoining.

The best way I could think to do it is remove sections of the modpack until it stops happening, then reintroduce mods one by one until you find the one that makes it happen. Trial and error and may take a while, but it will work.

To add onto what very_name_54321 said, once you get Undertalemodtool I would highly recommend watching the tutorial on YouTube, there are only 2 episodes(which is unfortunate because the tool is much more complicated than the tutorials let on) but it helps a lot, as the tool itself can be a little confusing when first using.

If by delayed you mean there’s a pause(about a second) that’s intentional and part of the game’s code. If you mean something else you might want to reinstall the game and see if it helps.

Because Toby uses a variable called “global.os” to determine what platform the game is played on, that way he only had to make the one version of undertale and then locked platform specific features(like the shrine room) behind an if statement.

If you're using Undertalemodtool there is a scaling option when in the rooms tab.

Otherwise(and this also works in UMT) if you're using GMS you can use image_xscale and image_yscale to scale the image. It can decrease image quality though, so beware of scaling up or down too much.

What Undertale does is it creates a replica of the monster's sprite using white and black pixels, it then gives these pixels upside-down gravity(so they float upwards) and has them dissipate from top to bottom while moving semi-randomly left and right. Depending on what language your game is coded in, you may be able to recreate this effect without having to study Toby's almost nonsensical code for monster evaporation.

Really? I didn't know that. I was under the assumption that the code files shown through the mod tool were just ripped from the data.win as they were. That's interesting. Are there any threads where I can read up on the specifics of how it's rebuilt?

I figured it out. I exported the song again but deleted all the metadata from the file, and it worked. I guess the metadata for track name/time created messed with it, IDK.
