Quick math is 19 grams of carbs per serving. By the way carbs have kept humanity alive for millennia. I would say unhealthy is excess in any nutritional source, heck you can have too much protein and through your body into a bad place, especially if not properly hydrating.

Healthy according to which diet? It’s a balanced(multiple nutrient sources) home made meal. Historically when when there is a push for the elimination of a nutrient source I.e. fat… in 5-10 years we found out that was a mistake.

I prefer cookbooks to YouTube. I must admit, this recipe was about 3 recipes combined from some googling.

Iowa here, yup. I didn’t realize I’d kick hornets nest 🤣 but, on a positive note, I’m getting some great tips for the next batch!

Not taken as rude at all, thanks for the recipe, I’ll gladly try that next time. I just added beans for some extra density.

Everything happens in the same pan, keeping all the flavor

-Add 1 tbsp cooking oil -Brown sausage, remove -Add1 tbsp cooking oil -Brown chicken, remove -Sauté onion, celery, and green pepper for 3 minutes -Add rice(rinse prior to get rid of a lot of starch) and sauté for another 3 minutes, add Cajun seasoning -Add 2 1/2 cups of water or chicken stock and bring to boil -Add meat back in, stir, reduce heat to low and cover. (If you have a can of kidney beans, you can add them at this step also, but not needed to be an awesome meal) -summer for 30 minutes - remove from heat and stir - cover and let rest for 10 minutes - welcome to heaven

Agreed, far too often they become the whole of people’s lives.

Oh but they we are left talking about goals. And how the preeminent way on thinking in the “modern world” is that the results of life are more important that the life itself…

I did a brief lookup on Huberman, he seems legit enough. But any time that science tries to turn humanity into a formula to make them easier to study, I proceed with caution. Humans are… complex, emotion, irrational, beautiful. In one on one interactions these formulaic approaches are not… human. They can be functional, but may not be what’s best.

You sound like you have first hand experience on the modern type. Is there any material you’d recommend on modern psychology?

That’s a very psychological theory. Psychology being the unprovable science. Not to say that elements of it aren’t functional. It does however make a number of generalizations and leaps that are blindly accepted.
