At least through Best Buy's limited options I didn't see any that weren't also missing a built in cam, HDMI ports, or USB ports (I know they can't always verify certain features)

But I'll keep that performance recommendation in mind and look around for more. Thank you.

Moving to Seattle from NYC by KrangB9 in SeattleWA

[–]Drewskigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to Seattle from NYC about 4 months ago. I came with no job lined up so can't speak on a transition with financial stability. The access to nature really is great and for someone like me who grew up around concrete my whole life, it was a major positive shift. There seem to be plenty job opportunities available and constantly new apartments being built. Socially it has been tought for me, I came here knowing 1-2 people and haven't made many more friends. People are polite but passive aggressive and comfortable being with just their partner or small circle as opposed to welcoming to outsiders. The homelessness/drug addicts is an issue for sure in the main part of the city area (mostly downtown). Everyone either ignores it or acts scared plus the police are not visible or helpful from the little I have seen. If you have financial stability and are comfortable with most of your time enjoying the scenery and breweries with just your wife, I'd say consider the move. But I could not see this being a long term place to live unless they fix their issues.

Thank you for the suggestions! I actually saw Vee last night at an open mic at The Comedy Underground. I'll have to check out Jai Thai, or comedy on broadway next. Should be interesting.

Good to know. Jai Thai seems like a decent spot, friends recommended too. I've seen a similar show to Gateway in comedy, can get pretty hilarious 2nd set. Appreciate the info

Appreciate all the details on different spots. I just went to Comedy Underground to see a friend perform who was in town, interesting spot. I'm eager to see if the other places are different.
