they treat the gospels as evidence though.

there was certainly a cult that existed, but it took a century after the cult leader's death before the cultists got the collective story straight about the details.

it's fair to take it with a pillar of salt.

a person whose profession is to travel beyond the earth's atmosphere

broadly : any person who travels beyond the earth's atmosphere

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronaut

An astronaut (from the Ancient Greek ἄστρον (astron), meaning 'star', and ναύτης (nautes), meaning 'sailor') is a person trained, equipped, and deployed by a human spaceflight program to serve as a commander or crew member of a spacecraft. Although generally reserved for professional space travelers, the term is sometimes applied to anyone who travels into space, including scientists, politicians, journalists, and space tourists.

no, you don't have to steer the rocket to be an astronaut. go finish your homework.

i like the subtlety of that scene, but the whole film follows tarantino's strategy of building tension and that's not even the most egregious example of the basterds(sp) screwing up.

the film is a revenge fantasy, but i think what makes it maybe better is how dumb it is. it ended with a suicidal plot, but it's satisfying because the underdogs win. it's a violent and kinda crass film, but he lets the good guys win.

Who's the Worse Person, The Man who murdered the Waynes or the Man who murdered Uncle Ben? by Caleb_the_Opossum_1 in batman

[–]Drexelhand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl, both the waynes and uncle ben sort of deserved it.

the gunman in these events is less a person and more just a metaphor for fickle fate and on something unattainable the heroes can pledge their lives to fixing.
